Turn off wifi and auto update.
Also a very Good Idea!
This requires you to figure out out how to get into the Settings on your center display.
It's not too difficult, everyone can figure it out. Google It!

Most likely bad wire harness. A 12v battery on a new car shouldn't die even in 20-30 degree weather if driven at least a little every day.

I think this is a big deal!!! My 2.0 eco has similar issue ,I get messages truck is in sleep mode or deep sleep mode (remote dosent function) and i have 20000 miles in one year so truck never sits for long. Come on really ??? im 58 years old and have never had to charge a battery ever ! I put a charger on my 3 boat batteries in the spring after they have been sitting all winter , Thats normal . (im proud to say i have never had a car not start) Ok maybe a boost once or twice in my life on old cars when lights were left on, maybe? But listening to folks on this site ,its normal to carry booster ?? come on a new truck?? Thats just bull shit. There is something wrong with the system on the Mav and im told also other newer Fords. I was in to the dealer and they charged the battery all day , truck start stop system worked for one day and back to sleep mode crap. I think this will end in some sort of recall. It has too, because its just not normal, Period!!

Not all problems have been attributed to the Negative Harness. I think FORD should considered a Recall on this Harness issue because so many have had this problem and it should be FIXED.

I have been getting the warning a lot lately. Though this week I just received it tonight and I haven’t driven my Mav since last Saturday. I have bad cell service at my house so I’m going to turn cell and Wi-Fi off on the truck tomorrow. Other than that the truck has been running great!

Its not us ! We are just using our trucks normally, there is just something wrong. I replaced the battery in my elantra after almost 8yrs, that was an oversite but still??

Don't forget to turn off auto update too. It turns the wifi back on otherwise.

Funny you say that. It was off and I turned it on today. It found an update but the update was taking forever.

When you see there is an update available, you have the option to download it on your computer, then use a USB stick to install it. I did that on Friday to update Sync3 to the latest version.

For what it's worth, one of the things that drains your phone battery quickest is having poor wireless service (either Wi-Fi or cell service). I'm sure it's the same with the wireless modules in your truck, since they are sourced from the same places that provide your phone's chips.

Near my house, ATT's service has been horrible lately, because they've got 5-6 towers down for heavy maintenance. It's been going on for a week now. Everyone on ATT has been griping about no service and about their phone batteries going dead very quickly.

So if you're only seeing 1-2 bars of service for your truck, turning off auto-updates and disabling both the Wi-Fi and cellular radios could help reduce the battery drain.

And just so Xjeepguy doesn't have an aneurism, and feel compelled to post it three more times... I agree that it's "not our fault" and "Ford should do something about it." I think 100% of the posters on this thread agree with that sentiment, but are looking for work-arounds until Ford has a final solution.

I receive that message with no issues. No performance issues, no starting issues, just informs me it is going into Deep Sleep Mode. So far, So good.
Same here, except you can't remote start with the Ford pass app.

I'll go a month or two without any messages and then 5 days in a row like right now with the deep sleep message.

Just brought mine home from the dealer today. Drove it home and got the "deep sleep" alert. 😑
