I have a 2025 Lariat and the Ford app told me that that Mav went into Battery Saver Mode. This happened twice when I have not driven the Mav for about 2 weeks. This is expected behavior per the manual and I have had no problems starting it. However, once the dome lights did not come on despite not driving for only a few days.

Q1: After reading many threads, it’s not clear to me if Deep Sleep is different from Battery Saver. Is it?

Q2: My 2025 came with an AGM. After the last Battery Saver message, I fully charged with a NOCO Genius 5, which did not take long. Do I need to perform a BMS reset and lock the doors, or should I just lock the door and let sit for 8+ hours?

Thank you!

I think Ford is now using the term "battery saver" mode rather than "Deep Sleep" in order to make it clear that this may be supposed to be happening. Your case sounds normal. I would not do the reset unless you charged battery unhooked or replaced it, just lock for eight hours or more.

Recently received the same message on my 2024 EB. Have owned for 9 months and has 13000 miles (built 9/24). Had been only one day without driving... Had not heard of an EB getting that message. If I get again, will have the Ford dealer check the battery.

On my case i had received that message 200+ times, note that I drive my truck daily but still get the message regardless of it, i just learned to live with it, my battery was replaced for a gel one like 1 to 2 years ago.

2022 E.B here.

Battery Saver are the lights, possibly passenger side keyless-entry sensor, power ports, ect - shutting off earlier and earlier.
Seems to be strictly low Volts to get it. Usually observable before Deep Sleep notice.

Deep Sleep is the modem being disabled - hence Fordpass app informing you remote features will be unavailable.
Volts <9.5, unstarted for 14 days, battery SOC <50% (though it seems recent BCM update may have changed that one).
So you see why you got yours.

Reset is for when you get a new battery according to manual - it resets the days in use and age of battery, and cumulative charge & discharge logging.
Which the charging scheme, as bad as it it - uses to vary things.

The locked overnight for BMS Relearn as manual says is needed after a charge up (and new battery obviously).
