To add to Matts comment: I watched a video on ceramics and after torture tests (washing, mud, etc.) the Turtle wax beat the more expensive ones in most of the tests. I've been using it now for over a year as well as Turtle wax ceramic wash and have to say I'm impressed.
I use the TW ceramic wash on my Cactus Grey and it’s amazing. Sheds water and leaves no spots after rain.

I wound up going with this McGuire's liquid hybrid ceramic wax 16 oz for $23. Going to give it a try tomorrow after I wash the truck.

Finally got some time to wash both the Maverick and explorer. I used the MeGuiar's hybrid ceramic wax to do both as well as coat the rubber and plastic trim with 303 protectant.

Turned out really nice. Hopefully lasts through fall and winter. Barely used 1/4 of the bottle, and I overlapped when applying ceramic.

My dealer applied Cilajet and it's still going strong after two years of weekly basic washes at the car wash.

Yeah I have no problem doing it myself. I'm not overpaying for something that's so simple, I enjoyed doing all the work I can myself.

I have enough left over to redo each car probably six times a piece. Cost me 25.00, and 2 & 1/2 hours of my time. 40.00 if you count the applicator pads and microfiber rags.😎

Curious what the dealer charged you for 1 vehicle?

For $16 you can get a spray bottle of Turtle Wax Ceramic which will take about 30 minutes to apply. There are no tricks to putting it on - spray a small area and then wipe it off. My car before the Maverick was a Jaguar F-Type which had a pro coating applied at a cost of about $2500 (including all the prep). I can't tell the real world difference in the coatings. Yes, the Turtle Wax will need another coat, but the bottle has now done 2 cars and there is enough for a third, all for $16.
This is the product I use and you can't beat quality to price ratio. One needs to be careful not to use too much of the product at a time. Turtle recommends 2 sprays at the most, otherwise you'll get ugly swirl marks. The swirl marks can be eliminated using a damp microfiber whenever they pop up. By the way, label states that putting on a second coat will give you 6 month protection.

I washed, then clay barred each vehicle last night. This morning I applied 2 coats of the Meguiars hybrid ceramic wax to the paint, then 303 protectant to each vehicles plastics and the mavericks tonneau cover.

Most professional detailers swear by Meguiar's products. I also use the 303 on my Maverick's plastic and tonneau cover. Very pleased with the results. Made my two years old tonneau cover looking new.

3 months in and the Meguiars hybrid ceramic still going strong. Even with the round of sleet and snow we had 3 weeks ago and all the salt on the roads. Cleaned up nicely.

Anybody have any good recommendations? I've seen a lot about it I just don't know which are the good brands that hopefully don't cost a fortune. When I say a fortune I mean $100 or more for a 3 oz bottle but then again I've never used it only waxes like carnuba.
I haven't read through the replies, but I've always had good luck with the "adams polish"s
I've used it on several vehicles, including a jeep & it definately had not only impressive hydrophobic properties, but made clean-0up a breeze

Never never used or purchased Adam's products. Always had amazing results with McGuire's in my near 30 years of washing cars and keeping them detailed.

Exactly.......don't believe all the "Cermic wax/coating" hype. It is just that. You get the same kind of shine and coverage from a bottle of Meguire's bubble gum smelling quick wax. Of course the detail people will argue with you all day long...but it's kind of like....."Motor oil is motor oil" when it really comes down to it. Wax is wax. 🥴🥴
