The Bronco Sport Outer banks has an option for a dimming mirror.

There should be a harness that goes from the mirror to the cover or the mirror to the courtesy lights.

We would need the p/n for the harness and we would need to figure out if there is a line in Forscan to turn it on.

The dash cam is a dealer installed option. Does anyone have a p/n for it? I looked on Tascaparts but didn't see the FR and RR cameras.

I'm planning on an auto dimming mirror, garage door opener, FR/RR cameras.

I have a Crosstour CR900 FR/RR cams that I bought a couple years ago and never installed so I'm using those.

Hello everyone, I just got my Maverick (Lariat, EcoBoost, lux package) in Velocity Blue, I am super excited about the truck.

I have a dashcam and wanted to hardwire to the fusebox, I've tried a couple of different fuses, with the camera always turning off when the auto start-stop kicks. Does anyone know which fuse to use so this does not happen?

I've used fuses #3,20 and 24

20 and 24 were continuous power, but still cut turns the Camera off when the auto start-stops powers the car down and fuse 3 is only powered when the car is on, with the same issue.

The fuse layout used was on page 299 of the owner's manual.

You don't mention the brand/ model of the Dashcam but if it is the Ford OEM [Thinkware F200] then you may want to consider the OBDII connector for it ... supposedly suitable for the Ecoboost but questionable for the Hybrid. A little expensive at $45.00 but perhaps a simpler/ cleaner install and more reliable solution. You don't lose any access to the native OBDII on the vehicle as the accessory has a male-female passtrough connector that preserves the native connectivity.

I'm not an expert on this but ... my understanding is that they can work together.

I'm getting a Hybrid XL (not yet delivered of course) and I already have the "Perimeter Alarm" (a.k.a. "security system") - with the OBDII connector cable like the one in your picture + the control/sensor box + the extended LED light cable - which I will be installing first.

I'm going to wait for the Hybrid/ OBDII connector issue to get clarification before I install the Dashcams using the OBDII connector.

From a hardware standpoint, there should be no issues since both OBDII connector cables seem to have the abilIty to piggy back on each other while maintaining the native OBDII port connection open for other temporary uses (i.e. reading "engine light" malfunction codes with an external OBDII reader).

From a control signals and electrical loading standpoint though, I'm not sure, therefore the approach to add one device at a time.

My Dashcam has a mirco b plug for power.

If I can find an adapter I would buy the Ford harness to power it.

Any idea the size of the connector on the Ford Harness?

Affect - is a verb, "to affect” – meaning to influence or have an impact on something.
Effect - is a noun. an effect (a positive or a negative effect) is the result of being affected by something.
But, Effect can also be used as a verb: “to effect”, which means to bring something about – “to effect a change”. However, this is not very commonly used.

Given the above, I have no REAL idea which is correct. But if forced I would guess 'affecting' is the correct usage.

Isn’t there a power jack already for the oem dash cam next to the rear view mirror? I thought I saw where its a dealer installed option?

I am using #20 to power my camera and it stays on all the time. I couldn't find anything in the interior fuse panel that only worked with the key on. I may have to try #3.

My Camera has an internal battery that shuts the camera off after 3 minutes, so the auto start/stop wouldn't affect it too much. I just wish I could get it to power off when I am not driving.

Really don't want to run the wire to the under hood panel.

Buy a fuse tap adapter. Get it at any parts store.

I haven’t checked the truck yet.

Where did you find the in cabin fuse box? Is it in the usual driver side dash location?

I installed my Dashcam today, I ended up using #8 (Leaving #9, spare blank with no fuse). I used this kit. You will need an extra 5 amp fuse since the one in place was a triplet so you can flip it if the fuse blows.

Fuse #8 is keyed and does not activate the dashcam unless the key is turned on.

On the passenger side floorboard, there is a plastic panel that clips in over it (kind of hidden up under the dash). Pull down gently from the top and the clips will pop out.

Also when using fuse taps the fuses need to be slotted in the right order and the tap itself needs to be slotted correctly so that the 'hot side' completes a full circuit.

You may want to look into a more robust step down regulator if you are planning on hardwiring multiple 5v accessories.
