Does anyone know if the black box behind the rear view mirror in 2025 Mavericks already has a harness which you can add power cable into for a radar detector? I’ve seen videos where people wire it all down through the door panel to underneath the glove compartment, but I’ve seen videos where other trucks have what looks like an already existing power plug into the area behind mirror. Anybody done this? Or have info?

If they do their overseas trucks, ones in the US sadly I don't believe half that due to bs regulation's.

I know Cobra makes a hardwire adapter that installs over the OBD port and has a pass through. So the port is still usable for they're newer radar detectors and dashcams.

The mirror is not powered. There are plenty of good options in the BCM fuse panel on the passenger side. Really quite easy to run a small cable along the trim.

Some people were able to tap into the lights to wire up dimmable / HomeLink mirrors. You could probably do the same for a radar detector.

That’s what I’m thinking. There has to be power to the overhead lights and hands free speakers. I figure I can connect into them.

Yeah you could definitely tap into the overhead dome lights harness right there in the headliner if you're real handy you could make a OEM style connector.
