Same noise as my 2023 Hybrid Lariat has. Seems to be only on the drivers side. I’ve wedged different things between dash and defroster vent and nothing seems to change anything. Noise continues to be frustrating so I turn the radio up so I don’t hear it.
Dealership has no clue what it is or how to fix it.
Mine has made that noise for 2.5 years- seems to be common place enough I’m not going to worry about it.

I ordered a 2025. From what I’ve read on this forum it sounds like this is an issue with several. Hopefully by the estimated November build date for the 2025 Ford has figured out what is causing the noise and corrects the issue.

Bought a slightly used 23 lariat hybrid, was hoping ford had corrected the dash rattles. Nope this 23 is way worse than my 22 lariat AWD model. The 23 is fine until I ventured down gravel road to our farm. Sounded like everything including the kitchen sink was loose under the dash. You’d think a 1 year old truck with only 9,000 miles wouldn’t rattle this bad.

Hi Mike! I can look into your Maverick's noise concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Maverick's VIN?

Thanks for the offer to assist. I just got the truck six days ago and just discovered the terrible dash rattle yesterday. So I’ve not contacted my local dealer yet. as I have a great relationship with my local dealer let me contact them first, if on the off chance I have a problem I’ll ask you to intervene.

i just bought it a week ago and haven’t had a chance to report the problem to my local dealer. Let me talk to them first as I’ve a great relationship with them. If I have problems I’ll give you a holler.

Your local dealer is incompetent.
I have the same rattle, had one of my local dealerships take a look into it - they tried to fix it by stuffing cardboard into the defroster vent! they scratched the heck out of my dash doing so, really upset about this.

I took matters into my own hands and attempted to put some foam in between the dash and the vent,, reduced the rattle by about 50% but it still drives me mad.

Fix is published under TSB 24-2317.

This is what mine sounds like. If I push on the vent it stops.

I’ve been fighting this too. The fix in the TSB didn’t fix it. Now into stuffing very thin rubber pads between the top plastic dash and the vent part. Makes it pop a little less, but not fully fixed. Thinking the vent is made of two pieces and makes noise at the seem, if not fitted together properly at the factory. Gets worse during cold days for me. Driver side only for me, by the way.

The TSB didn't fix mine either. I'm still playing around with it, but I shoved a thin SATA cable between the top right section of the driver side vent and the blue dash. It's helped a lot.

Something that's fairly thin but semi flexible should also work.

I've been meaning to get a buddy to drive my 22 XLT to search it out. Can't do it from the driver's seat. With as quiet as the hybrid is, its really annoying and gets worse over time, sounds like the top center of the dash to me, at 15k miles. Enjoyed all the comments here when I get around to searching for it. It's been in for numerous recalls and the transmission blew up at 12.6k, but I keep forgetting to mention it. Otherwise, a Maverick hybrid is a great concept. Exactly what I want. A small pickup that gets 40 mpg. Shame they can't get the quality under control. Hope to hear some better things coming out of the newer stuff before I go for a hybrid 4WD.

I have a 2023 Lariat Hybrid. At approximately 5,000 or 6,000 miles a rattle started in the dash area around the defroster vent on the drivers side. If I hold my fingers on it and pull in it quits. Has anyone come up with an easy fix to this frustrating noise? I know if it goes to a dealer and they take the dash off it could create more issues.

I don't have the dash rattle but I noticed on my 24 XLT there's a 1-in by 1 in thick piece of foam up against the edge of the dash and the windshield. Was noticeable when I upgraded my stock stereo replacing the front tweeters. Might be the fix you guys are looking for.

Interesting...you bought it new? Not sure why they didn't suggest the same on the TSB then.

I never did get the noise in the dash fixed but is now the problem with whoever buys my 2023 Maverick Hybrid Lariat. Loved the truck but I couldn’t resist ordering the 2025 with AWD.
Took delivery 2 weeks ago and so far very happy with the improvements they made in the 2025.
