Where exactly are you spraying this? Noisy dash and battery issues are my only really complaints about the Maverick, both quite annoying.UPDATE: WD40 dry lube for the win! When hot my dash was quiet but on cool or cold days it drove me crazy. I originally tried the WD40 without success and kept trying foam, O-rings etc. with nothing working. I tried the WD40 drylube again spraying it back more toward the steering column and this time it worked. I've been rattle free for about as month. Thanks Strydertortois for the help.
I sprayed a good bit of it between the (blue) dash and the (black) defroster vent. Driver side. Had to spray it back towards myself. Laid the can flat and aimed tube back towards me. Make sure you have the dry lube. Good luck, it took me a couple tries.Where exactly are you spraying this? Could be. I watched a Ford Explorer dash removal video and there was basically a sheet of the white synthetic cotton sound absorber across the entire dash, under the plastic outer skin. That is where I got the idea to start stuffing blocks of the stuff under my dash. Most of the post I see about the rattles in the dash are XL and XLT Mavericks. I'm curious if Ford adds more "soundproofing" to the dash of the Lariats like they do the fender to prevent cabin noise. I have virtually no noise on the road unless it is a micro-grooved concrete road which are the worst thins invented to drive long distance on.
