I want to get a really good front and back dash cam. Would love suggestions. The real question is if i get a dash cam that somehow plugs into the fuses for 24 hour surveillance, will that addition void any parts of the warranty?

OwlCam or Nexar are my recommendations, I personally have OwlCam and its super easy. Connects to the OBDII Port for power. I believe Nexar is the same way.

Both have subscription options if you want over the air monitoring and live view.

I use a Kenwood DVR-A301W front only thats har wired in. My installer told me that the back camera doesn't see much because of the bed & tailgate.

I plan on installing a 2-channel dash cam once I get my '23 Maverick next year. And even though the rear-facing camera might not catch everything because of the bed and tailgate, it'll still be able to get a good view of most action out back.

Example, my rear bumper got backed into in a parking lot several years ago and it was "he said, she said" until I showed the video. The dash cam more than paid for itself right then. I'm leaning toward Thinkware but probably have a year to research and wait for better, less expensive cameras to come on the market.

Are you guys using dealer to install? Worries third party may not know how the trim comes off on a new vehicle and break something. Best Buy for $60 is tempting, the time it would take me is worth more than that. But worried they break something.

i cant afford the 600 dollar dealer option from ford, and truth be told i dont know if i trust them to be more gentle then i would be in installation. thus the warranty interference part of the question.

Just had a Wolfbox g840h instslled front and back hardwired. Rear was put top center inside back window and works great in daytime. Haven't tried at nite yet since I'm old. Waiting to see If there's any drawdown in battery . Waited 2 1/2 days and voltage check was fine.

I have two different units in my Mavericks.
Ford Maverick Dash cam suggestions? imag

They are both front and rear camera systems. The Vantrue was a little more expensive then DDPAI Z40 but I chose the DDPAI for my Mav because it has more features. They have both performed flawlessly and would buy either one again. Neither was more than $300.

I have them wired directly to the fuse box.

Happy hunting.
