For once, the good news is that I don't have my Maverick yet. The bad news is that a guy crossed the centerline on the expressway and hit the side of my Escape. He admitted it to me immediately following the accident but then denied it to the police. So it's my word against his. This leads me to wanting a dash camera which would at least have shown that I was in my lane.

So I'm looking for Dash Camera recommendations. I'm not looking for high end, but something that is reliable and gets the job done. Any recommendations or even ones to avoid would be appreciated.

I looked at the ford front view. Ford.com I think is selling for i think $150. There about. It comes with a factory wiring harness. I saw a ford estimate of about $50.00 For installation. For about $200.00 you can have a factory installed camera that will perform the same as if it came with your truck. I have read where people had to install fuses and other stuff. You can pay a little more and get factory wire harness for a front and rear camera. I like the factory harness so the camera works without intervention. My choice. My concern is the blind spot created by the rear view mirror. A a 4 way I need to duck down to get a clear view of the intersection to the right.

Garmin mini 2 is great. i put one under the front mirror and one behind the headrest in the back. You wouldn't even know they are there. They go on sale occasionally at Best Buy for $109.99 which I think is $30 off.

The Ford webpage has the thinkware models. I was leaning towards that until I read a bunch of forum members got the viofo models. I am watching the viofi a229 duo model, 2k front cam and 2k back cam. Their 4k model is the front cam, 1080p for the rear.

I'd be interested in knowing how you installed the one in the rear.

Mounted to the back window. I ran the power cord behind the seat And through the storage area. Power cord is plugged into the center console back usb port. I have the waterproof floor mats so the wire is unseen under them

Thank you. I discovered another thread where the member went into great detail including photos of the install. Sorry, I don't have the link to that thread, however, I did save his photos. Anyone needing that information, let me know and I'll post the pictures..
