I just want to get this taken care of first before I go scorched earth
Yeah, in the end you'll get it/them replaced for free, you will have a couple or set of new tires and you'll be on your way - and you'll likely be using another dealership in the future to do any future maintenance. I'm fairly good at just using sarcasm to get my point thru to businesses, but, yeah, sometimes I have just 'let it go' to save my sanity.

No doubt. The other close dealership is a huge one that has a massive lot with Ford, Chevy and Dodge on the same plot and have others not too far away. The one I’ve gone too is smaller so I figured they’d be a little more personal but guess I was wrong.

Re she never saw a CV changed - that is ridiculous - it's a relatively common point of failure in many FWD vehicles. You should have asked her if she knows what 'CV" stands for. I'd just blast this stupid dealership for their incompetence and lack of education...Oh, and for lying.

I know cv axles are a problem for the MAVERICK because I've read about it. But if it's a small dealership like ours, it's actually possible that they haven't seen any Mavericks that have needed CV joints, I can't recall any Mavericks at our dealership that have needed CV axles. Our dealership didn't sell a lot of 2022's . We sold some. But not many. We didn't start selling them regularly until 2024. We have several customers that purchased them from other dealerships bring them in for recalls and minor issues. Or when another dealership has messed them over. The vehicles brought in for hybrid battery drain were purchased elsewhere. Starting in 2024 I guess Ford increased our allotment. Because I saw a decent number of 2024 and 2025's come in for the pre delivery inspection. When I purchased my 2025 in May, we actually had several on the lot. And they move quickly. By the way, the service writer is likely taking their que from the tech that has his mind made up and refuses to be wrong.

I don’t blame the service writer and I can pretty much guarantee the tech is mad cuz I knew what the likely issue is. That being said, dude did a horrible alignment so that’s gonna need to get fixed now too. It pulls to the left even though he said he did 2 alignments and the second was good.

I’m debating waiting til Tuesday to call and give the service manager a chance to reach out tomorrow. They know I’m frustrated as I made it clear on Saturday when I brought back their USB stick that was left in the USB port. They never did the backup camera recall either and said “they didn’t get to it” but then the service writer on Saturday said it wasn’t working and that Ford had en outrage Friday that precluded that from being able to complete the recall.

Put that back!
Don't want it looking too clean.

On boot 2nd crease, left of top center, whitish spot in pic - start of a tear, or just the camera, or fluff?
Had your 10K services done?
Just imagining if they keep playing hard ball, will they bring up boots being examined every 10K?

I think it’s not a tear and they’ve even dir a “multi point inspection” in February

Service tech said she hadn't seen a CV replacement in 5 years since she had been there - so that would include all vechicles that came thru not just the Maverick . That seems highly unlikely " The service advisor told me today she’s “never seen a CV changed in her 5 years there”

......... Frankly I think they just don’t want to do the work. The service advisor told me today she’s “never seen a CV changed in her 5 years there” when I told her it was common problem on these. She was shocked about the Bulletin for 22s. I had rotated the tires 3 weeks ago and the problem stayed but they continued to tell me front drivers was worn and that was causing the issue. This was before they refused to do any more diagnostic work until I got new tires. The issue is ONLY on acceleration and not coasting
I would suppose that some smaller dealers rarely replace CV's as most that fail are out of warranty and on vehicles that have not seen a dealer in several years because they have been getting their service at independent shops.

That's an entirely different story. Yeah that's highly unlikely. We've replace them in various vehicles for various reasons including vibration from the F-150 to the fusion to the focus and edge

It's back in now as they have a loaner for me now but apparently are only ordering 1 axel and on the drivers side. Make it make sense.
