What issue is this that I need to look out for?
My truck started shimmy/shaking under acceleration, mainly between 50 and 60 mph. I thought it was tires at first. Also noticed it does it under more that usual acceleration at any speed. Issue keeps getting worse

Axles are covered under the 5Y/60k power train warranty.

The dealership alerted me of the worn tires, and offered to sell me a new over priced pair.
Damn, they said the same thing to me! I said how about we get those CV's fixed first shall we

Good old ford. They went bad due to a part under warranty so the tires should be covered also.

I am nearing 40,000 miles on my 22 Hybrid. The shimmy starts at 30 to 40 mph then goes away until I hit 50 mph until about 62 mph. It is getting worse to the point my thighs are shaking on the 50-60 mph. I guess it's time to start the process of getting some warranty axles.

I did mention the shimmy at the last oil change. At that time they said they did not notice any shimmy.

Yep. That’s when I would have calls corporate to try and get a better resolution.
Have you ever actually "called corporate"???

I did, when the dealership lied to me about warranty coverage.

It was a complete waste of time...

The dealer verified I did indeed have the CV axle issue a month ago. He said Ford had put a nationwide stop on the part as its undergoing a re-design. I have no idea if any of this is accurate but this is what I was told. I was told to take your Maverick home and we'll call when we have the parts and ready to do the repair. No advisement on whether to keep driving it or not.

I keep reading people are having theirs fixed currently, some are waiting like me, some are on their 2nd and 3rd replacements already.

When I first heard of this issue they said it was a Hybrid issue only, obviously not true. Then I hear its ECO's too, but not Tremors...also not true. Very disappointing issue.

Are you guys with issues who are waiting for repairs continuing to drive? Any more clarity on time frame for the "re-designed" part?
did your boot rip?

You have to have them drive it. Ride with them or take the service guy with you

Just wanted to chime in and mention this text I got from my service advisor regarding the redesigned axles yesterday.

Gary,
I don't have a problem with my axles yet.
I appreciate you taking the time to keep informed and posting the update
Thank You

Welp, I'm (2022 Lariat Hybrid with about 40k miles) joining the new CV Axle Club in the next week or two (parts have been ordered), so where's the party? 😂

I got a text that my axles are in, will be dropping off the truck next Wednesday for an update. Dealer mentioned that if there is still noise or vibration, then they will need to do testing on the struts.
