Yeah, but it used to be free and now it's not.
I just renewed Progressive Insurance through my broker for another year back in November 2025 for a one year policy that I prepaid. 100% glass coverage with zero deductible was an additional $12/year. Auto insurance in Utah is very affordable. 3 vehicles full coverage annual premium prepaid $1,618 total.

Huh. They wouldn't offer that to me here in PA.

Dang. Yeah, seems like a stress crack from temperature changes.

Be prepared for the windshield replacement to be in the neighborhood of $750+. When I had mine done last year, it was over $800 at Safelite. The glass was about $500 and the camera calibration was about $300.
Calibration?? Why? Just swapping glass not interfering with any cameras. Speaking of cameras I’m going to have to remove my dash cam and wiring before the glass swap.

Quite possibly a small chip down low in the black zone. Unfortunately you can't see that real estate from the interior. Then the chip swiftly cracked with defrost at work. Happened to me within the first month 😞
Don’t know how a rock would have gotten to hit down there. All my rock chips are up high lol. I never slam down my wipers in the snow either.
I’ll look into safelite, I have GEICO and it has the glass coverage but not sure if there is a deductible. I’ll take a look at the policy when the time comes to replace.

The camera at the top of the windshield, all part of that housing where the rear view mirror is. That needs to be removed when replacing the windshield on the Mav, so they have line everything back up after re-installing. It's a pain, I know, and wish it didn't have to be that way. Most new cars with these cameras are like this now.

Progressive Insurance's glass coverage is full coverage with zero deductible and no affect on future premiums.
Yes, but as I found out the hard way, you have to select it. other wise it is normal comprehensive coverage.. AZ mandates that all insurers offer no deductible glass coverage, but most make it pretty hard to find when signing up..

Consider the sound proof windshield that the lariat has when changing one.

It's the Ford SoundScreen windshield. It really makes for a quiet ride.
Yeah, that and the extra soundproofing in the body makes for a marked difference over the XLT.
