Thanks for the recommendation. Several others also said good things about the TNVTEC. Good reviews too. Well, I went to Amazon to check it out and low and behold . . . it's on sale! Normally $94.90 but 11% discount making it $84.90. But wait! That's not all, if you look closely, there is a $15 coupon (as of 2/4/2022) that brought the price down to $69.90 (before taxes). I wasn't going to buy any add ons until I get my Maverick, who knows when that will be. That just changed. I hope I didn't jinx myself by doing this and Ford delays production for another year. Oh well, if so, I will now have a CarPlay dongle adapter for whenever Maverick arrives.
I just received the "Wireless Carplay Adapter, 2022 TNVTEC CarPlay Activator Dongle for iPhone" from Amazon. Since I don't have my Maverick yet, which I bought this dongle for, I installed it in my 2021 Toyota Venza (Sync 3). Wow!!! This dongle is amazing!!! Works fantastic on my Sync 3, ApplePlay in my Toyota. Super easy to install and works instantly. I never used my ApplePlay before because I didn't like having to hook up my cable every time I wanted to use my iPhone in the car. Plus I didn't like having the cable all over the center console. The TNVTEC CarPlay plugged into the USB port of my car and sits in the cell phone charge pad and is out of the way. The cable is short. Siri works perfectly along with other items on the phone. Pretty awesome how this technology works. I can keep my eyes on the road and utilize my phone. I tried out "Spotify", which works wonderfully and sounds great. I have been paying for SiriusXM service in my Toyota but now that I have discovered the TNVTEC CarPlay and "Spotify", when my subscription expires, forget about renewing it. So since my Maverick is going to take awhile to get built and shipped, I'm going to keep checking out Amazon for another $15 coupon. Not available at the time of this posting. I'm going to buy a second TNVTEC CarPlay that I can use in the Maverick. The one I just bought for the Maverick is now settled in my Toyota. The TNVTEC CarPlay is a great product that I highly recommend. I just hope Amazon provides more of those $15 coupons.

Awe come on now . . . be nice. I'm just a simple guy that isn't very tech savvy. I got this device and was excited on how well it works. I haven't been using my ApplePlay because it was a pain connecting and disconnecting the USB cable. Plus I had the cable laying around the center console that always got in the way. This thing actually works and was so simple to connect that I actually could do it. I suppose it doesn't take much to get me excited. I love this new technology, well at least new to me. Not a fake review, just a review that a simple guy as I am enjoyed an awesome device. I'm sure other similar devices out there do just as well. I just so happen upon this device and love how it works. I can actually now take advantage of the ApplePlay system that is in my car. Now the questions is, how does this device work in the Maverick? I'm still waiting, like a LOT of others for their Maverick orders to come in. So give this old guy a break, I like this technology and so excited to use my ApplePlay. I wonder how my review of the Maverick will be once I get it. Will it be one of those "fake reviews"? I am getting some mixed fellings on my order because of the "mixed" reviews on this forum. I do realize this is an economical vehicle and my expectations aren't as high as my expectation was for my current vehicle, that costs a lot more $ by the way. Yes I'm like a little boy who gets excited about certain things. Makes life fun.

I got the TNVTEC one today, works amazing so far, automatically connects within about 10-20 seconds of turning over the key. Updating the firmware was no problem but be sure to plug it into the USB port on the back of the center console while you update it otherwise it won't go through.

I also ordered a 90 degree usb adapter and a 6inch USB A to USB C cable and am planning on attaching it with a command strip underneath in the little cubby area down there to keep it out of the way

anyone have CARLINKIT3.0? Everything works great except going into text messages. Whenever i go to messages the carlink connection reboots. I called the manufacture for support and they told me to contact Amazon. Who does that?? I got zero support from those clowns!

I haven't timed my boot time but I swear its more like 5 seconds. Regardless, it is faster than the Carlinkit was in my previous car. The TNVTEC is loaded before I leave my driveway, the Carlinkit wasn't booted until I was down the road.

I am doing the same with the 90 degree adapter. So much cleaner looking than bending a normal cable.

when i remote start its about 5 seconds for sure. But when i turn the truck on with the key it’s definitely 15 seconds or so. Just enough for the vehicle is ready to drive. Havent had any issues with it so ill rn up using the double sided tape for a cleaner look since i was holding off to make sure i would keep it

Ordered mine over the weekend, came in today. Plugged it in and accepted the pairing. Works like a charm.

Couldn’t be happier. Thanks guys.

Attached the box with Velcro underneath on the roof of the cubby and except for the small visible black wire going to the usb you’d never know it was there.

I'm sorry, you're right that kinda was mean, I was just pokin fun though. You do a great job of hitting all the review keywords :) Glad you found Spotify, it's amazing the amount of media at your fingertips. Hope you get a lot of use out of the wireless dongle and carplay on the open road!

I just got this yesterday, so this may be some quirks with getting things setup correctly. I've updated the device to the latest firmware and factory reset, and reconnected everything.

I'm trying to figure out how to get the TNVTEC carplay unit to consistently connect and launch automatically when I get in the truck. What I'm gathering is that the device boots, your phone does a bluetooth handshake with it, and then your phone switches to WIFI connection to the unit to launch Carplay, and your bluetooth connection to the device drops at that point.

It seems my phone is showing WIFI connected, but it's not always launching Carplay. Does anyone else know if there's something I need to do in particular to make sure the handshake launches correctly? Do I need to go into the 192.168.2.1 settings menu for the device and make it delay 5 seconds to let the SYNC3 system boot up first maybe?
