Carlinkit 5.0 I think is the fastest to kick in when starting the car if that matters to you. It also does GPs pass through to use your cars GPS if available for maps.

It seems that none are perfect, there are audio delays and hiccups and occasionally it doesn’t start up on its own, but I think the big difference with the cheaper ones is they take a lot longer to start up (but I’m talking 15 seconds vs 30 seconds, so perhaps many don’t care about that timing)

I've only tried one, but it has worked flawlessly. No cutouts/disconnects/or audio lag, even using Carbridge for video.

Oddly enough it's the Android Auto AAwireless adapter, I believe the first brand developed.
It now supports Apple Carplay as well, though not officially advertised as it's in "Beta." I use it with both my main Android phone and iphone 13 mini on my spare line.

Ok I have the Sync and CarPlay with my “22 lariat, but I hate having to use wires, I want to use my wireless charging and connect wirelessly with my infotainment system, will one of these work for me?

I got the motorola one on sale and it works fine.

I had a lot of frustration with intermittent connection on a couple different adapters. The problem wound up being my bluetooth earbuds - they were already connected to my phone for audio so the truck didn't want to hijack the connection and my android auto just wouldn't connect. It's been 100% reliable once I learned to put away or disconnect my earbuds before trying to use AA.

Yes, they will do the job for you as that is their purpose. Since there are plenty of different types on Amazon you should pay attention to the reviews, however, some of those reviews are phony. You can weed out the fake reviews by getting Fakespot app if your using your phone to search, or enabling the Fakespot add-on to your browser if using your computer. Fakespot analyzes the reviews and grades their reliability. You probably wouldn't want to purchase a product that has phony reviews. I look for products that have at least a "C" rating. Otherwise, what are they not telling us that they have to fake the reviews?

Thanks for the great information, what I’m trying to look for is a wireless CarPlay adapter for a vehicle that has car play already, and would they have problems or cancel each other out or something

The Maverick has wired carplay capability. The wireless device plugs into the carplay USB port on the Maverick and uses bluetooth to connect to your phone's carplay feature. No other wires needed. No canceling out problems; it just works seamlessly and your phone's essential carplay apps will appear on your info screen.
