If I don’t get scheduled next week (8/3/23), my 23 won’t be built. I’ll rollover to a 24. I can’t decide if I’d rather have one of the last 23’s or one of the first 24’s. Price increase is not the issue, although that would make it easier to drive a “year old” truck off the lot. If the “private offer” from Ford made the prices closer, I think I’d rather wait for the 24. Thoughts?

It will be what it is, the odds of a 8/3 scheduling are not great tbh. But the 23 vs 24 debate often comes down to factors such as which options you want that may now, or no longer, be available, taxes ongoing taxes on a 23 will be slightly lower if your state or locality taxes cars based on value every year, resale value long term. These can be very small or very large distinctions. For example, losing a manual rear window and the interior 110W convertor can be rough for XL and XLT purchasers not getting a 23.

Hopefully, you already have your 23>24 rollover placed with your dealer. The order numbers must be the same, to get price protection.

It will be, what it will be at this point. I assume there are no mandated changes on your MY '24 rollover. There's a chance that it will be a more trouble free vehicle as Ford has had more than enough time to address most known issues by now (let's hope). It will cost you more most likely over the years, just in taxes and insurance because it's a year newer and had a higher MSRP. Beyond those things, just to have it sooner could be most important.

I am glad my MY23 Maverick XLT Hybrid got scheduled on 7/13 because if it was rolled over to MY24 I would not have the 400 watt inverter with the in cab outlets (which includes 2 USB ports) and would also not have the Door Keypad entry.

Also your point about getting the last 23 or a 24. Getting the last 23 would have you being built in the week of 10/9 whereas getting a 24 would put you up against all the other rollovers and who knows when you might get scheduled.

When my 22 rolled to a 23, I gained NAV on my Lariat and lost a bedliner.

I think 23 to 24 has no gains besides 2 colors added and just has losses, in other colors, keypad and windshield de-icer. Not sure what happens to the other trims in a 23->24 switch.

But as others have said, love whichever one you get...

Maybe the only conflict for you should be can I get one or not?

Doubtful, on the 23. Almost a certainty on a 24.
