I think the all yellow/cyber orange is cool, as I don't like big hunks of black on a vehicle. Looks like the Chev Avalanche when it first came out if there is too much black.
Now, for grill pieces, door handles and other parts, I do prefer chrome over color.
What I am amazed at is your (and other's) ability/courage to charge ahead and change your brand new vehicle. I feel like even if I was a customizer kind of guy, I would first just drive the vehicle for a few months, see how things pop out in different light, see what parts of the scheme I don't like, and THEN start changing things.
But to each their own. I respect the fact that you want a vehicle that doesn't look like every one else's vehicle. That's why I have a green expedition, instead of black/silver/gray/white/maroon/etc

I am going to get chrome coatings on all the handles, the door trim, side vents, grill bars, and orher places if it doesnt look too busy. They said they can chrome anything I want. That's the only customizing I will do to mine once I get mine.

Here's a look at how the Maverick looks with painted grill bar, front bumper, rear bumper, fender vent trim and hood scoop - match body color (and compared to factory look).

Way too much yellow, you gotta leave some touches of black here and there for contrast. This looks terrible

I probably would have left the bed plastic trim black and the hood scoop but it does look really sporty!

If you like what you did to the truck, that is all that matters. If you gave a hundred dollar bill to ten people, someone would complain about it. One might say, I prefer 20 - $5.00 bills.

Enjoy your truck. People who see it will like it.

Nicely done, but a bit too much paint for my taste. Over and above the aesthetics the purpose of the black plastic trims was to take the punishment of daily driving away from the painted areas. Those plastic trim areas are simple and relatively inexpensive to replace. A chipped and scratched paint job is ugly and downgrades the value of the vehicle not to mention the costs of re-painting. Some things are best left alone.

Great job and love you are making your Maverick yours. I am doing the same but leaving it black, I might do the front grill bar. I will post pics when I am done for now working on the light with the lasfit led bulb kit, fog lights and drl strip lights witch I think ford should have put the lariat head and taillights on all Mavericks. Keep making yours and be proud these are great little trucks.

How much did the paint job cost?

Other threads have questioned the durability and quality of painting the plastic trim. How did your shop get around such?
