I cant tell you how many times I came out to my parking spot at work and saw my rear liftgate open on my equinox because I accidentally hit the power liftgate button on my keys by accident in my pocket. Im lucky nothing ever got stolen. I stopped leaving my keys in my pocket.

I once drove from the job site home, about an hour highway, got home and my hammer was on the bumper! I’m so lucky….I love that hammer!
I am a runner and found over time how contractors will work on their tailgate at a home, leave tools on the bumper or edge, and then drive away. All is fine until they get to a corner where the tool slides off. I had a large bucket of screwdrivers, pocket knives, hammers, brushes, all sorts of things, that I would find in intersections.
Yes, I occasionally ran for miles with a knife or hammer. "Don't mess with that guy."

Yeah I just sold my 2013 Toyota for enough money to pay for my new Maverick which was great! But yeah my first great experience with the backup camera in the Toyota Tacoma was a clear view of the asphalt while I backed into a telephone pole with the tailgate down LOL live and learn baby. Also had a tonneau cover on that thing but didn't experience that particular mishap. Also managed to run over my own bed extender but that's another story

Oh wow! Congrats on your Maverick and better luck with the tailgate!
I haven't left my tailgate down since driving on the freeway that day...

Anybody see the correlation between truck and flag?
Anybody know how to stop all the unwanted messages that come across the radio screen while I’m driving?
All are very distracting. Some messages indicate I should keep my attention on the road, as the message is the only reason I’m distracted😂😂!
I also have a velocity blue Maverick and am also part of the blue line. (y)

I'm not used to having a locking tailgate.....not only that, you can hit the lock button on the key fob, while the trunk is still open.
There isn't an alert. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
In my case, I lock the car and forget to walk around and check that the tailgate is closed. It's happened a few times now. I had driven 30 minutes on the freeway with the tailgate fully open. 😳
Thankfully the bed mat helped and I didn't lose anything out of the back of the truck, lol

You should yell at whomever left the gate down. Teach them a lesson.
no, that let's them off too easy. Someone should file a class action lawsuit!

I have heard of people who weld tools to their bumpers to keep people from tailgating

When I go for walks in warmer weather I often find tools & padlocks around the rough railroad tracks in town, along with rubber & metal suspension parts.

I once found a key fob out for a walk. It was a Dodge key fob, so every time I passed by a Dodge I tried the clicker :ROFLMAO:. Turned out after walking a mile back to my house it was my neighbors. He'd had to use his wife's keys because he couldn't find his ( they'd been on the roof of his truck )😂
