Just brought our XLT back from having Line-X spray-in bedliner done. They did a GREAT job — no complaints. Covered the whole tailgate (Others have reported incomplete coverage here.) They removed all the tie-downs and rubber plugs, and plugged the threaded bolt holes before spraying. Very neat job.
THE QUESTION: We noticed this one place on the passenger-side tailgate hinge area where there is a white plastic bit showing under the painted metal on a round hinge bit.
It could be this is the way it’s supposed to be — we just hadn‘t noticed it before. (Only have had the truck four days…) It seems greased. Driver’s side doesn’t show this, but seems to be a bit different on that side.
Anyway — Could someone with a Mav check out this area for me on their truck and see if it looks like this? (And send a photo.) Just want to make sure the liner guys put the tailgate back on correctly, and that there’s not something missing here that got left behind.
Thanks!
Here’s the area I’m talking about… It’s the only white thing in these photos. A round piece of plastic under the painted metal hinge bit.
