Installed mine also over the weekend, really like the upgrade. I wired it to the fuse panel and used fuse 3 and 20 for the power wire using fuse taps. Used fuse #3 for the switch power. Used fuse #20 for constant power. Grounded to one of the fuse box bolts.

A bit more than the $20-$40 KIA option, but I got this mirror for $65. Not needing to wire it is worth the extra few bucks for me.

It looks like the Homelink module itself is removeable from the mirror, allowing batteries to be changed?

The range on my garage door opener is very very short. Does anyone else seem to have that problem? I don' t know if I need to just re-connect it?

It is removable but to change the battery you would have to pry it apart. My guess is it is a 10 year battery and by then I'll replace with another or the whole mirror if I still have the truck.

Good bit of information. Thanks for passing that along! For me, the auto dimming feature of the KIA mirror is a priority.

I can open my garage about 2 houses away so by the time I'm in my drive way the garage is opened.

... ok I won't say that, it is powered with a built in bateria
It's self contained so my guess is a long term one.

I can open mine about 40 to 50 feet away, not a big issue for me, both motors are old maybe is an antenna issue.
