I just discovered that my 2020 Transit 350-HD based LTV Wonder motorhome uses a similar lane assist camera module.

While the wires are different colored, pins 4 (B+) and 5 (ground) are the same as in the Maverick, and it uses the same 8 wire locations and the same 12-pin Molex connectors. So, yesterday I made another patch cord so I could power a digital rearview camera and front dashcam unit in the motorhome. Everything is identical to the maverick, but my Maverick dashcam is 12volts and I will have to add a buck converter to get the 5 volts needed for the motorhome's dashcam.

I'm getting used to dealing with these little pins, even with my 75 year old eyes.

I just found the price for this wiring component from Ford. WPT-1686. It consists of the $.93 plug and 8 lengths of wire and some shrink-wrap. This end of the plug is pretty easy to make with a smallpair of needlenose pliers, a paperclip, thumbnails and a soldering pencil. It's the socket end that is a bit more difficult. Ford is worse than the drug manufacturers!

For any of you that are having trouble finding an in-stock Kia mirror, I did a junkyard crawl today and discovered that the best sources for these mirrors are Nissan products, 2007 and newer.
Most Altimas and Muranos, all Maximas and all Infinity vehicles newer than 2007 that I saw today have the homelink mirrors, all with autodimming, some with compass.

I yanked a super clean one from a 2014 Maxima and paid a whopping $11 for it.

Ford seems to have been super late to the homelink party for some reason, most of the Fords I saw with it were 2013 and later, Titanium/Lariat or other highline vehicles but they were all visor or headliner mount.
I didn't bother looking at GM or Dodge products because I found what I needed in the Nissan section.

When I have done that I just hold bare part of wires to the battery. If we are correct in assuming that the black wire is ground it should always be touching the negative (-) terminal. Touching the other wires to the +side of the battery should cause the mirror to do something. At least that’s what I’m thinking.
Then you can write down what wire does what. If the black is NOT ground then you will have to try the others until you identify the correct ground wire.
Just to confirm using a 9V battery is exactly what I did when identifying my mirror wiring and worked great as described.

Adding this to my list of things to do. Can't believe Ford didn't add an auto dimming mirror to the Maverick.

I ordered a Kia mirror (# U8620-1M000) from Tasca and just got an email back saying they canceled the order to do a backorder and no estimate on restock.

Just gotta find a mirror. I don't need homelink but would like the compass.

You may end up having to go to a local Pick-A-Part, salvage yard, junkyard...
I thought it was pretty cheap on Ford's part to not even offer a self-dimming mirror as an option in the Maverick.
I'll bet 80% of the mirrors that Tasca had in stock were sold to Maverick owners.

Good Luck in your search.

We realize that it's just a lever. Those of us who've had both manual and self-dimming mirrors, prefer the convenience of not having to screw with it in traffic at night.
In 40 years I've never had an auto dimming mirror stop working.

Saw this option on eBay the other day: Harness For adding auto dimming mirror dash cam radar detector to ford Maverick | eBay

Now you just need to find a mirror.

You don't really need the compass either, there's one in the screen ...

Keep looking. There's quite a few out there. Just need to find the right vendor. I honestly don't remember where I got mine in 2022.

Done!

New Mirror from ebay. Did my circles in a parking lot to calibrate the compass. I'm sure the people that were in the parking lot with me were wondering what I was doing.
The mirror model is D9062-ADU00

Bought the harness from a seller on Etsy (YTBCUSTOMS). They also have a store on ebay. I think he is on this forum. I got the harness with USB-c connection for the dashcam. Harness is very well done. Great quality. Everything works perfectly

I used my dremel to cut two perfect half circles in the plastic cover for the two wires from the mirror and dashcam.

Don’t know anything about these mirrors, but won’t you need a power source for this? Is there a plug and play option for this in the cluster on the windshield?
i got one from a guy on ebay

Just to pass along. If you have a newer garage door opener and choose the Non Frameless Kia mirror (V3) this will not work unless a Bridge is purchased. This is clearly stated in the Etsy and Ebay instructions but I missed that. I ordered the Bridge and hopefully it will solve my issue. I ordered the USB-C addition as well to install a Dashcam (will not be using the Park Modes) just like SNOOPY did above. (looks nice!)

The wiring harness is a nicely made product. I highly recommend YTBCUSTOMS.
