Congrats! Was yours from Chapman-Horsham? If so, hybrid or EB? Any options (CP-360, etc)?Got my scheduled for production email today for 9/5. Hopefully, it stays that way.
Chapman in Philly . Hybrid XL with only moonroof . I dropped cp360 and SIBL to get it movedCongrats! Was yours from Chapman-Horsham? If so, hybrid or EB? Any options (CP-360, etc)?
I reached out to my dealer today. He said NO Mavericks are scheduling this week in the Philadelphia region. So, this could be an instance where some areas of the country are getting a bunch of trucks scheduled this week and other areas nada.
Lucky you. Tell the others who didn't get price protected with their original agreements it is all good. Funny, no one has said Chapman-Philly (Ed) has reneged on their agreements. Chapman-Horsham has. Should we just roll the dice and be happy?I bought two and had no problems with my deal. They honored it.
Plenty of others too.
How can or would they know the price would change midyear?
Not a dealer problem but a Ford problem.
Yeah I delt with Ed.Lucky you. Tell the others who didn't get price protected with their original agreements it is all good. Funny, no one has said Chapman-Philly (Ed) has reneged on their agreements. Chapman-Horsham has. Should we just roll the dice and be happy?
Not honoring the agreement (ordering terms) and pocketing the protection difference is unethical. Adding the "FINAL INVOICE" footnote as justification for redefining "INVOICE" is scumbag. The DORA states and agreed "Invoice" and the protection money keeps the dealer and customer from loosing money. Horsham lining thier pockets at our expense with protection money stinks.
Just give me my truck and I'll take a shower to get rid of the smell. Glad when this is over. This whole ordering mess is just a pig wallow.
Anyone new, insist on getting a signed buyer's order and leave a deposit. Remember, the dealer is just a necessary evil and is not your friend. You'll be able to skip the shower.
How much more would you have to pay?I haven't picked up any Maverick from Chapman yet, but I did ask both Philly and Horsham about price protection. My scheduled order is with Ed at Philly. Here is what they said:
Philly: You are price protected from order date.
Horsham: We'll see, we don't know what the price will be.
BS on Horsham's part.
$1400.00How much more would you have to pay?
ouch! I'd be pissed too. However, I think at this point I just wanna pay and be done. It's still a pretty good deal compared to other cars/trucks out there today. Not to mention you would have to wait another year before getting a vehicle. I guess once you're in it might as well go all the way to the end.$1400.00
argh...I just found out my build week was pushed back now to 10/3...so we will see.
