I got this one and it sits in my hybrid today and has worked for over a month with no idea sleep issues - Also said it wasn't for it:So, Amazon says that this does NOT fit the Hybrid Mav. Are they just delusional?
Amazon is correct in that the battery does NOT MEET THE EXACT SAME OEM SPECIFIC SPECS. it could be and is taller even if only 1 millimeter but is (3/4"?) taller. Hey it may have more AH? WOW = Install at own risk. Does it meet the OEM vent pressure? So, Amazon says that this does NOT fit the Hybrid Mav. Are they just delusional?
Careful! Somebody might take you seriously here!!Amazon is correct in that the battery does NOT MEET THE EXACT SAME OEM SPECIFIC SPECS. it could be and is taller even if only 1 millimeter but is (3/4"?) taller. Hey it may have more AH? WOW = Install at own risk. Does it meet the OEM vent pressure?
Do you know if there any YouTube videos showing how to remove the plastic to get better access to the battery. I can't follow the pics without and explanations.I just replaced my battery with an H5 Odyssey ($275 with a coupon). It's only been 2 weeks, but so far, so good. I appreciate all the advice that y'all had to share. I didn't find many pictures of the process, so I took some myself. I wanted to video it, but ran into some hurdles, so I only got these snapshots.
Caveat: I'm no expert and I just pulled on stuff until it worked. Managed to get it all done in under 1 hour without braking anything. Followed this up with the battery reset (ignition to "on", high beams 5x, brakes 3x, see flashing light, let truck sit 12 hours).
Pics keep getting shuffled when I post here. The correct order can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1LAoGWQrZy/

Thank you, Glen Baker!Removing plastics around the 12V hybrid battery.
I've never have had to remove my battery.I tried for a half an hour to get the plastic out and couldn't.
I know I am not stupid but what the heck am I doing wrong?
I think the battery is in the way of removing the plastic.
Do I have to remove the battery hold down bracket to wiggle the battery out of the way to remove the plastic? And yes I see in the video he does remove the battery bracket to remove the plastic.
Got to pay attention!
And the dealer never connected the vent tube on the 4th battery they replaced. Morons!
With the stock battery, it only requires a slight manipulation of the panel to remove it. (Keep in mind that they thankfully didn't make it one big piece.) Installing over a larger H5 AGM does require a bit more dexterity or patience, however it really wasn't that difficult. I have better spatial visualization than most, so it only took me a moment or two to visualize how to move the panel back into place over the H5 battery. - It helps to not reconnect the battery until you've put the panel back into place, which gives you a bit more room around the top edges of the battery.Thank you, Glen Baker!

The largest dealer in Orange County California can't replace a battery correctly.
I don't think it will hurt me to say it's, David Wilsons, Villa Ford of Orange.
Yep, the "dual" fuzes are different. With the stock battery, it only requires a slight manipulation of the panel to remove it. (Keep in mind that they thankfully didn't make it one big piece.) Quite frankly it was easier, quicker, and less costly than taking a morning off of work to sit at the dealership for a replacement flooded cell battery at the time. Mine's been installed nearly two full years, and other than mis-wiring my dashcam to a constant 12v circuit (I neglected considering the 1st fuse as Fuses 1 & 2), not a single deep-sleep since installing the Weize H5 AGM.
