I agree, however it can cost much more in time, gas, and effort to get the dealer to finally act. For me, the 130 bucks and half hour to install the AGM, which worked for me, was a far better use of my time and money than repeated time consuming trips to the dealership, and perhaps being without...
I agree.
This shows us they already have a fix which they started implementing in February. The rest of us just have to waitā¦.
Cāmon Ford, be better. If you can implement a fix on late built 2025s, you can get it to the rest of us too.
This is what a good dealer should be and has been doing. Some people here have gone through this process several times. At other not so good dealers, they donāt do this unless forced to. This is not the āfixā.
Well, how much driving are doing with the truck? Have you driven it in the summer yet?
The length of the drive matters, particularly in cold temperatures. If youāre not driving it for more than about 15 minutes a day, the hybrid battery is probably not fully charging, and thus the ICE will not...
The question would be, why are you putting in an H5 when an H4 is the āplug and playā size and requires no mods or trim removal to replace as it is the same size as the flooded battery. The hybrid which you have doesnāt use the battery to start the engine and it merely runs the other systems...
I have had this battery installed in my 2024 hybrid for three months now with no issues. I donāt drive the vehicle more than 30 minutes 3-4 days a week.
WOW! Given that there is plenty of information here that says otherwise, this is going to be a major shock to many people here, myself included. Was considering a hybrid 2025 AWD because I live in WI, but Iāll stay with my 2024 since it can be flat towed.
I recommend the battery from Amazon listed in the post just above mine. I installed it and got it for $139 US delivered. Not sure of the exchange rate, so I donāt know if this cheaper or not than what you are looking at.
If that is what it takes for you to feel comfortable, by all means go for it, but honestly, living up in Wisconsin, where weāve had some near zero days already, I havenāt seen the need to go to that extreme. I have just put in the plug-and-play H4 sized AGM and havenāt noticed voltage issues or...
There are vent holes on both sides of the battery. There is a plug in the packaging for the unused side. You simply plug the vent on the Mav that you will unhook from the flooded battery Into the AGM.
Do NOT believe Amazon about this. Any H4 sized battery will fit. The H4 140R battery that I bought off of Amazon fits perfectly despite Amazon saying it wouldnāt fit. Manufacturers will want to verify that the battery will fit your vehicle. It will.
The battery requirements for the EcoBoost and the Hybrid are different. The AGM works better on the hybrid because it charges the battery differently. There is no alternator and short drives (15 minutes or so) are extremely effective at charging the AGM battery on a hybrid since the battery...
Get the 140R. It is a drop in fit and requires no modifications. Ignore what Amazon tells you. It is wrong. The Hybrid takes the H4/140R. Multiple folks on this site have used the 140R and dropped it in. Once you swap to AGM, because of how AGM works, a larger battery isnāt going to help you...
The battery in the link is the exact battery that fits and has the correct positive, negative sides for the Hybrid Mav. I ordered it and installed it. It drops in and the terminals are correct. Did you order from the link? The Hybrid Mav has the terminals reversed from standard, hence the 140R...
I'll put myself in your shoes. My job was to break things for 40 years, not fix them.
However, I decided to take a look at doing the battery replacement myself, and I had little issue with it. I was done in about 30 minutes and did it with tools I had on hand. The advice I've seen on this...
