I used a hose and a funnel I made for this kind of job. You could use a hand pump, but that's a lot of pumping to get 4 qts in there.
I imagine you are responding to change of tranny fluid and not oil, when you commented about 4 qrts. out being slow with a pump.

I don't know much about the tranny fluid prccess. Haven't seen a video. I got the hybrid.
Wouldn't a person need a pump device to have the tranny fluid removed? Or does it just come out because of gravity?

Yes we're talking about transmision fluid. It has a drain plug just like your oil pan. The fluid will drain with gravity, no need to pump it out.

I will do my 23 Mav hybrid trans oil at 20k and then 50k. I'll probably hit 20k in 2027. Retired and have another vehicle so mileage is kept low.
And what if I told you the hybrid trucks don't have a transmission?

Because really they don't. Not like you are thinking about. In name only. As a function, not even close.

Maybe modernize your way of thinking.

It is a SUPER SHORT and no way needed transmission oil change interval.

2005 eCVT (generation 1) had LIFETIME oil in a sealed system.

I think Ford now recommends changing at 150,000 mile intervals.
If the OP intends to keep his hybrid for long time, he/she did the best thing they could have. Getting rid of break in metals helps insure a longer life. IMO YMMV

To be honest I don't have the service manual for my truck, but I've seen a value of 26 ft/lbs for the fill/check plug. It is a large plug with course threads so I would believe that is correct. You will need a 10mm allen hex socket, an extension (which will throw off your torque wrench) and the torque wrench. I used a 10mm hex key so I could not put a torque wrench on it. I haven't been able to find a spec for the drain plug but it is a much smaller bolt with fine threads. I did snug it up a little tighter than the factory for sure.

I plan on doing mine at my next oil change at 35,000 miles. I use Amsoil in everything I have and use their EZ Fill QTs. Its basically and thin plastic paper like container that you can just squish all the oil out of, it works quite well. I will do it again at like 70,000 miles.
Note in the eCVT the electric motors windings are coated with a polymer. Fords OEM fluid has additives to help protect that. In a John Kelly Weber State Video Mechanics in Bahamas change eCVT fluid annually in escapes due to high ambient temps. They have heat deterioration reasons.....

Edit to add:
Note very similar Toyota P210 mentioned. In this video..

Dealership the best place to pick-up Mercon ULV? Not finding it at the normal joints, help and suggestions welcomed!!
Dealership has the best price for ULV. Found that other makers have doubled their price recently for some reason.

At 30,000 miles when I changed my engine oil I noticed a small amount of trans fluid in the eCVT case. Not quite a drip but it was just slightly wet and when I rubbed a rag over it I saw it was clearly red. The fluid did not appear to be from the cooling lines.

After reading these posts I decided to change the fluid at 35,000 miles. The drain plug was less than hand tight and I removed it without using a tool. Drained just under 4qts with a lot of metal flakes and put back in 4.5qts.

I will check again at 40,000 miles but it appears that the drain plug was leaking fluid slowly. Doing a fluid change was easy and totally worth it in my case.

Just stepping in since the drain plug could be easily stripped. 106 in./lb. on the drain. 26 ft./lb. on the fill/check.

Cheers.
106 in./lb.=8.8 ft./lb.

When I did the eCVT fluid there looked like a small drip at one of the cooler lines. Definitely wasn't worth the grief of a dealer visit, with the outcome likely not positive.

Cheers.
