So, does anyone have a link to the appropriate LED bulbs for this application?

Yes, if anyone can point us to the correct LED bulb it would be appreciated, I would rather do that than have to pay for a new lens in a few years.

Would a warranty request result in just telling us there is no functional problem?
With instructions to just come back within 3/36 if one does result?

This is a common and known problem covered on many different sites from as far back at least to 2023. The bulb can reach 400°+

Just left the dealer after 10k service visit, and they said replacing the assembly would be covered under warranty on my next visit for the parking software recall.

I've never used my bed lights, but of course they come on when I unlock the truck. There's no way heat from the light is causing this on my truck.

Everything you need can be found HERE. I added the 921 size XPR bulb for the 3rd brake light as well while I was in there. Diode Dynamics is the best 🤘🏼

It's a good thing I converted mine to LEDs a long time ago. Yikes! Just goes to show how hot incandescent bulbs can get. Plus, everything should be LEDs at this point, especially considering the price you pay for these now!

I noticed the same on my brand new 2025 when I swapped the cargo lights for the Lasfits.

My guess is that others that left the original bulbs will have the same melting.

I’ll be requesting warranty replacement on my next service

What about the 3rd brake light? Anyone see any melting issues like the cargo light? If not, what's the difference?

I checked my cargo light this morning, and fortunately the housing looks perfect still!

The flip side if this is that head lights will not generate any head to melt ice that accumulate on them. My lariat has them and I was driving in a bad storm and had to keep pulling over to clean them off. There should be heated wires that come on when you use the heated side view mirror option.

Checked mine this afternoon. 2024, 6900 miles, and only time those lights are on is when I exit the truck until I double click the fob or they time out. The silver reflector is showing evidence of melting already. Brake light is fine. Anyone used sylvania leds with out a resistor?

Yes definitely..only benefit of the incandescent is they melt ice and snow, but suck to drive with..I second the heated wire or something
