Cracking sound from the arm rest

Whenever I first get in the truck and put my elbow on the arm rest, it makes a CRACK sound like something is breaking.

I checked and nothing seems to be breaking, it's like there's some looseness in the latch or the hinge and when I put some weight on it it snaps back into place ... does anyone else have this, and if so did you find a way to stop the noise?

I assume you are talking about the center console armrest. Yes mine does it when I use the armrest to adjust my rear end in the seat. Nothing is breaking (yet) but it sounds bad.

Yes, the center arm rest. I'll have to look for the source once the weather warms up ... in May / June I guess

Mine started doing it as well, I use it to reposition in the truck. Doesn't sound like it's built sturdy enough to handle it but time will tell.

Get the screwdriver out and do a little tightening, that’s what I did, all good till next time then rinse and repeat!

My 24 lariat and 25 Lobo both did/do the same thing still haven't found the cause yet, I'm planning on trying some things when it warms up

Mine makes some noises in the cold when i lean on it but goes away when not leaning on it.

My 2024 Tremor was rattle noise cracking free... until I hit a bump stop at 80km/hr
Now, I have a dash rattle noise cracking

My 25 Lariat was doing it since I took delivery last year. However, on my most recent visit for servicing and an oil change, they looked into the issue with a bit more detective-like urgency and compared it to a MY26 that was sitting in their showroom. Note they didn't have any 25's left. They noticed that my vehicle was missing 4 foam-style spacers on the inside of the armrest/lid for the center console. Mine used to creek like hell and would even sound like it would lock in place everytime I placed any sort of weight on it. Since last week, the problem has been resolved. Ryan and the team @ Brown Bros Ford in Vancouver BC Canada figured it out.

Oh this might be the cure! Could you post pictures of the foam spacers, I'll check if mine are also missing
