Can't find the answer

I have a 24 XLT Hybid and I can't find what the button above the rear view mirror is for? Its on the left side of the black plastic piece that is attached to the windshield. Thanks all.

I believe it is the temp sensor. It's not user interactive, in any case.

I thought it was either the temperature sensor or some sensor to do with the car alarm. Or maybe neither. Well, that didn't help you at all.

On the 23 models it is the ejection button.

if only a person had a device in their pocket that could take pictures, and then browse MTC and upload them.

but I'll go ahead and assume he's talking about the bump that many paranoid people have assumed/feared is a camera.

it is not a camera, it is a humidity and temp sensor. also, the bump in the center of the dash near the windshield is a light sensor, so don't cover it with a hat or anything else.

Don't believe what the Ford maintenance guide says. It is a government spying device tracking your conversations so that you can more easily identified as an enemy of the people.

I pulled the fuse for the air conditioning so that sensor is deactivated. No one needs to know what temperature I am but me!

I just went and checked in my Maverick, I don’t think I ever noticed that button before. and all I can say is thank to whoever started this now I want to push it. How about if one of you fine Maverick owners try giving it a push and let the rest of us know what happens.

It isn't a button DO NOT push it.
I replied to your post because you said, 'Always post a picture.'
The op Captain crunch may not have a cell phone. He may be on this form using a computer.
So, I posted a picture for You of what I think he was referring to.

Reread OP - appears that was already done.

Push hard enough it sounds like it can feel like an actual button.
Like push on the info bar in front of passenger seat about airbag enabled or disabled.
Push hard enough that may start to feel like a button too!
