So I just got the dreaded deep sleep notification. I’ve read the fix for this is to just get a new battery.

However, I live in a Northern state and temperatures are dipping below freezing. So I was wondering if the Ecoboost battery will fit and work in my Hybrid? It has 760 CCA vs the 470 the one that is recommended for the Hybrid.

Will it fit? And will it work? Does it help to have more CCA in cold weather on a hybrid?

The hybrid battery does not actually crank the engine, that's done by the hybrid battery. Hybrid battery needs only decent voltage to activate computer and relays to engage hybrid system. Lots of CCA's won't make much difference except it will keep the battery from the dreaded "Deep Sleep" condition longer. Hopefully Ford will correct that in the next 4 months. Don't think the EB battery will fit w/o at least some minor mods.

No. The EcoBoost uses an H6 which is almost an inch and a half longer than the H5 which is the largest battery that can really fit in the Hybrid (which requires some modification).

Thanks @Waterick & @Darnon — Yeah, I guess I'll go with the OEM for the hybrid. Was also looking at the AGM battery that others have mentioned, but if the CCA does not really matter then it just makes sense to stay with Ford.

Sure, if you want deep sleep notifications again in a few months.
Even with everything posted on this forum.
I don't understand how replacing what is failing now, with the same product 'makes sense' ?
Unless you are replacing your battery under warranty.

If you're paying for the replacement on your own there are many batteries that fit with no modifications that are better than Ford's OEM. Do search on "Hybrid +12v Battery Replacement " thread, this forum.

If you have an Advanced Auto Parts near you they sell this Perfect Fit DieHard EV Hybrid / Electric AGM Battery.
(Better Labeling) than previously, a bit more specific.

Since the battery does not crank the engine CCA is not something to be concerned about. The spec you want to concentrate on is reserve capacity or AH, the higher value of that you can fit into the space provided the better. A deep cycle, marine grade, or RV battery would be more appropriate for the Hybrid with what it does in the truck I would think.

Just looked at the Battery that is recommended the most for replacement in the Hybrid and it is kind of funny. In the description it states 120 RC and the sticker on the battery says 80RC. Wonder which is correct...

This is from the description on Amazon:
UPLUS BCI Group 140R Car Battery, AGM-L50-UP Maintenance Free 12V 50Ah Premium AGM Batteries H4 LN1 Automotive Battery, 570CCA, 120RC
