  1. New Tires Lose Pressure at Speeds Greater than 60 mph

New tires, new valve stems, new caps. Although one cap was a weird size, just a bit larger than the others. The other 3 tires all had same tire caps, and one of those was losing air as well. I did not look at the whole valve stems closely, so there may be something there on the two tires losing...
  2. New Tires Lose Pressure at Speeds Greater than 60 mph

Final Update: The service guys finally took it out and test drove it on the highway. I was sitting in the waiting area and my FordPass app pings that the tires just went low 🤣 They finally agree there is a defect and replaced the two tires under warranty. They were all saying as well how...
  3. New Tires Lose Pressure at Speeds Greater than 60 mph

UPDATE: Went back to the service center and they checked everything and said it was good. Got back on the highway and now it starts to lose pressure at 70+ mph. I filled the tires and did it twice more losing air on only the rear tires both times. Back at the service center (Saturday the 6th...
  4. New Tires Lose Pressure at Speeds Greater than 60 mph

So I got new tires (Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus3). Everything seemed alright until I got on the highway and accelerated to 60+ mph. There was a very slight vibration, but not so severe that I was worried until the tire pressure warning went off. I was able to slow down and got off at the next exit...
  5. Can I use the Ecoboost Battery in Hybrid?

Thanks @Waterick & @Darnon — Yeah, I guess I'll go with the OEM for the hybrid. Was also looking at the AGM battery that others have mentioned, but if the CCA does not really matter then it just makes sense to stay with Ford.
  6. Can I use the Ecoboost Battery in Hybrid?

So I just got the dreaded deep sleep notification. I’ve read the fix for this is to just get a new battery. However, I live in a Northern state and temperatures are dipping below freezing. So I was wondering if the Ecoboost battery will fit and work in my Hybrid? It has 760 CCA vs the 470 the...
  7. Lousy gas mileage?

I quickly skimmed the replies and didn’t see this mentioned, but maybe I missed it—you can configure the dash to display two different readings of your mpg. One shows your live or real time (they call it Instantaneous fuel) mpg. Basically, if you’re hitting the gas it will go way down...
  8. Maverick Gas

Give the guy a break folks… I think #1 is what is happening here—The manual instructs to stop fueling on first shutoff and not “top up”. There must be a difference on when the fuel shutoff occurs between the different stations. Try using the second setting that more slowly fills the tank...
  9. I got 40 mpg with my 2.0 eco boost.

It’s a small truck and wouldn’t be that far out to reach a pretty high mpg with no payload and careful acceleration.
  10. Pressure on brake pedal but, the truck creeped forward after stopping.

I’ve felt this as well, happens after starting and coming to the first couple of stops. It hasn’t moved, but I can feel it surge or pulse and the vehicle shimmies a bit. So far it hasn’t actually moved, but it makes me a bit nervous that it might.
  11. Slow leak in tire—Replace tires?

I’ve had repair shops show me stuff that wasn’t from my car. I only knew because I worked on my cars in the past. It’s unfortunate, but that is how some individuals operate. Unless you’re able to watch them do the inspection or a video, they can have prepared damaged parts they use to get...
  12. Slow leak in tire—Replace tires?

It was on the rear drivers side, and they replaced the same. So yes, should be ok. I am thinking about upgrading them all next year maybe as they are not the best for snow here in the Midwest. Really only had one heavy snow so far this year. So we will see.
  13. Slow leak in tire—Replace tires?

Update: I inspected the tire and couldn’t see anything stuck in it… So I had the dealer look at it and they found a small nail in the sidewall (so they said). I only have 7500 miles on the truck (all smooth roads) with minimal wear, so replacing the one tire for now. Thanks all for your input
  14. Slow leak in tire—Replace tires?

So my 6 month old XLT Hybrid with the stock tires has a slow leak in one tire. It loses about 1psi each day. Should I take it to the dealer or just look at replacing the tires altogether?
  15. FordPass app service icons?

I think you’re right. The one I went to did have the quick lane. And I know the one without the icons does not.
  16. FordPass app service icons?

In the fordpassWhat’s the difference between the dealers with the extra orange icon that looks like a wrench and oil bin?
  17. Heated Seats/Wheel Issue

I had the same issue with the remote start not registering the heater seats and wheel until I turn the key (XLT). Both are set to auto in the settings, which should be based on what they were set to from the last time the engine was shutdown. Note: It did work on the first time I used the...
  18. Mileage discrepancy in Ford

Thanks! So it’s not actually getting it from the vehicle system. Which makes sense I guess. I just wasn’t sure if the odometer had been tampered with or something crazy.
  19. Mileage discrepancy in Ford

So I was planning to schedule my first service and I was using the Ford Pass app and noticed a discrepancy between the mileage listed. Under the vehicle info it shows what I see on the dash which is a little over 5000 miles However when I step through the service scheduling it loads the...
  20. Gap between windshield and hood

Thanks, I’ll look into the windshield cover. Otherwise, I’m thinking of fabricating something myself.
