From the experience with the Explorer, expect Ford to announce a fix next month.

It's not bug it's a winter feature, extra heat!
It's a shame they can get this sorted quicker. It and other issues leaned me toward eco. I did plan to evaluate a future hybrid, hopefully this happens before Neveruary 2025

Dang! You had me all excited when I saw the title of your post , I thought Ford released it.... So sad. I still like to go look at my Mav. but would be better to bring it home. Let's go Ford, push out the official recall repair!!!! (Sitting at the dealer since June 6th)
I was joking, but Ford told the NHTSA a month ago that notifications would go out in November:

Jeeze, guys, did no one notice the word "anticipated" in Ford's initial letter? Shit happens. And on a side note, has anyone actually heard of a Maverick catching fire since this recall process got underway? I haven't. Not saying there haven't been *any* fires, but it's not like we've gotten to the point that we need to wash our cars with Holy Water and park them 500 feet from the house.
