Buying a used Tremor, what should I look for?

I've had an eye on a new Tremor for awhile now. But while surfing the net I came across a used Tremor.
It has been 30 years since I bought a used car, as I always buy new. But this one got my interest...

2023 Tremor, 7600 miles, $28,500. Avalanche gray (one of my favorite colors), co-pilot 360 package.
It's being sold at a used car dealership not far from me. From the photos it looks in new condition,
inside & out. The 2025 Tremors are being sold for around $40k. This one would save me $12k

Any advice on what to look for? Any potential problems? What options or packages did the 2023
offer? And what about warranty, would the factory warranty have expired by now?

Have you verified this truck has a clean, green title rather than a "rebuilt" title? The price seems great but IMHO, feels a little low for a vehicle this new with that kind of mileage, especially when considering it's inital MSRP. That's just the experience I've had when looking at used vehicles. Just wanted to point it out because dealers usually are not up-front with info like that.

Is it an XLT or a Lariat? The Tremor package was offered on both.

Ask for maintenance records. 1 oil change min, 2 or more - don’t let the dealer see your excitement. Also, don’t tell him it is your favorite color lol.
I if no maintenance records - buyer beware. Maybe check the VIN on the ford service site.

Ask dealer to pop the hood so you can check the air filter. Easy to unclip - plenty of you tube vids. If filthy, buyer beware.

Get down on your back with a flashlight and check the skid plates for skid marks. If mangled, buyer beware.

You may want to wait or act on any new 2025’s getting on sale. Offer $32k out the door on a new one. May take several months but eventually a dealer may throw up their hands and takevyour

Like you I haven’t bought used in decades (ever honestly). But I would be surprised if used car salesman expect to be paid their asking price?

The Tremor was an optional package offered on XLTs and Lariats rather than a trim level in and of itself. So yours would be an XLT at least. The XLT came with various standard features such as a Locking Tailgate and Tow Hooks.

Several optional packages were available such as the Luxury Package (which included Power Drivers Seat, Heated Steering Wheel, Heated Seats, Tow Hitch with 4-Pin Connector) and Co-Pilot360. You will need to check if the Tremor you are interested in includes these Options (personally I wouldn't buy a Truck without these Options).

I think the warranty is 36 months/36,000miles for everything and 60 months/60,000 miles for the Powertrain. Don't know if the Warranty is transferable.

That's something I didn't consider. But it's a Lariat with the Tremor off-road package.

Thanks folks for all the helpful information. Here's what I learned about this truck since
I first posted.

I found this truck through Autotrader. But instead of being within 50 miles of my zip code,
it's actually 700 miles away in another state.

And it has a branded title, meaning it has been in an accident or had some type of incident.

For those reasons I no longer have interest in this truck. But I'll keep all of your comments
in mind in case I find another used Tremor.

Well if you are not comfortable with this truck, keep looking and another will turn up.
We all think that vehicles are unique finds at a certain price. The truth is, there are many others out there that are very close or even identical. I’m sure you will find the right one.

The google reviews are pretty good. But the dealership specializes in selling branded vehicles.
I found out about the dealer from Autotrader.
