My new generation Mini Cooper had 12 recalls in the first year...still loved the little car though...all very minor irritating things...Hassel was having to take it in.
My Maverick had a screen cable come loose...30 minute fix.
Today got the oil leak recall letter that is a 30 minute fix...both times dealer gave me a ride home. I've never had a dealership provide a ride home.

Maverick is much better than expected considering it is a new model.
No Regrets!!!

Did I mention I 5.5 miles to work everyday I'm getting 50 MPG
Since pickup I'm averaging 43.2 miles per gallon.
After 5,000 miles and turning on Hybrid Coach display I'm getting 46 to 50 miles mpg.

I am getting to order a 2023 Maverick and I am getting concerned about all the issues I am reading about. Anyone want to chime in and make me feel more confident about my potential purchase? How many of you are sorry you bought the vehicle.
I own a 22 EcoBoost with 7,000 Mi it's been absolutely perfect I love it, and I have a hybrid in production now I should get in mid-october and I can't wait

So glad you're enjoying your new Maverick. Thank you for being part of the Ford Family.
My BIGGEST piece of feedback is that ECO mode should be the default mode. 2nd biggest piece of feedback would be the phone call connections, using an iPhone the first call you make or receive when driving doesn't go through the vehicle, instead if goes to the phone even though it's displayed on the vehicle display. Simply hitting the mute button on the phone fixes this, but now I've got to fumble for the phone and that's clearly not the intention. Otherwise, love it. Very happy.

Have mine for about 5 months/6000 miles. Hybrid/XLT Lux/CP360. Truth be told after waiting 8 months (July '21 - April '22), when my Sales Rep called to tell me it arrived, I had second thoughts. Like someone earlier mentioned I'm also "cheap" and hated the thought of spending $$ on a car - (I hate a nickel because it isn't a dime). On the drive there to pick it up, I convinced myself that I was prepared to walk away over the slightest doubt. During the test drive, I tried to find any reason to back out of the deal. But I couldn't come up with a single thing. This little truck might end up being the best vehicle I ever had (literally over a dozen from compacts to sedans to SUVs to Pick-ups). If it had 18" wheels it would be perfect. I know the Lariat has them, but I couldn't sell myself the upgrade...Time will tell but up to now, no issues, no regrets, and I'm still washing it 2-3 times a week 😂
lol....what makes 18" wheels so magical?

Tacoma now, Maverick later
Forums (& the internet in general!) skew negative. People with problems are just much more likely to post than the vast majority of people who are happy with their vehicles. I own a Toyota Tacoma & spend lots of time on the TacomaWorld forum. Based on that forum, you'd think the Tacoma was to most unreliable vehicle built in the history of mankind! :D So take it all with a grain of salt. Most people are probably experiencing no issues & are happy with their Mavericks.

My only issue is a wish I'd gotten the lariat with every bell and whistle 😪

None of us! Read all the things people write about on these forums, and there is very little complaints that effect problems with the Maverick. It's mostly about things we wish it had, or changes we would like to see. No one is complaining about the low starting price, or any big time problem that can't be solved. If there was problems, people would be dumping them, Notice, no one is selling their Mavericks, except those who are flipping for nice profits.

Every time I drive / use my Mav, I’m glad I bought it. Easy in busy parking lots, the small bed hauls a lot, pleasant ride and steering and for $32k plus tax & license, is simply one of the Best Buy’s I’ve experience. Pick a dealer you like and you will be fine, birthing pains and all.
Waiting more than 10 months is truly longer than making a human baby :)

I've had mine for 10 months. There is a reason people say not to buy the first model year of any vehicle - there will be teething problems. I've had to deal with the fuel tank issue and will probably have to deal with the air bag issue, but that's OK.

I just loaned my Maverick to my son while his car was in the shop for a week and drove my 2014 Wrangler Rubicon instead. When I finally got the Maverick back and drove it, it was like "oh, this is so nice!" So, no buyers remorse here!

God Bless America ! Where Our greatest right, is our right to Bitch. I just returned from my Doctor, He says I only have 20 years to live..... MY silly little bitch is that, TOO MUCH new technology is over-kill. I have owned well over 40 Cars, Trucks & Motorcycles. I have operated Airplanes, Race Cars, Industrial Trucks, Semi Trucks etc.etc.. I recently read that New Ford Trucks have about 1,400 computer chips. Is there a list as to what each one does ? Is there really a chip in the speedometer that just sends yur Credit Card # to the local Police Station ? jk ,,,, Car Show Judges are forced to look for fine imperfections in each automobile. I ONLY find the "breaking regeneration system" requires that the operator pay closer attention during heavy traffic conditions. I have been offered a 25% profit for my Maverick. No Thanks, I am Keeping it for 19 and a half yrs.

So the OP was basically seeking emotional support and got it in spades. In terms of facts, they got nothing. People were asserting crazy ratios of happy to unhappy buyers and they basically pulled imaginary numbers out of their asses.

If emotional support is what the OP wanted, this was a successful thread. If facts are what the OP wanted, this thread was a failure. Because it's a series of anecdotes. We'll all know if the Maverick is a brilliant success or a failure in about 5 years. That's about how long it takes for facts to accumulate and quality measurement organization to collect a valid statistical measurement of Maverick quality or lack thereof.

There are two dominant narratives on this site. One is owners floating across the clouds in their Mavericks with Ford Angels feeding them grapes as they blissfully eat up the miles. The second is owners waiting months in service and parts purgatory as their poorly and cheaply designed and rushed-to-market Maverick sits in the driveway or the dealership rusting (apparently they spray on rust during manufacturing). Pick the narrative that makes you happy. Then wait 5 years and you'll know if you picked right.

There's a third narrative, and it takes more emotional and mental discipline and honesty than most can marshal: "Nobody yet knows yet if it's a rolling heap of trash or a fine automotive jewel, but we'll roll the dice and then roll with the punches". (sorry for the mixed metaphors).

I know that comes across sounding like some kind of hater. Not true. Anxious to get my Maverick next month. Genuinely looking forward to it.
I understand your sentiment, but buyer's remorse is a very subjective thing. I think the seats are really comfortable; FriarPop doesn't. We could give every stat that exists on the seats, but we both believe what we believe.

The best "facts" I can give are: mine has averaged 40 mpg since I bought it, and after 3,000 miles nothing has failed. True, the whole truck may fall apart in a year, but he didn't ask me a year from now. All we can do is answer honestly based on what we currently know, right?

There's an old saying, "If you get great service, you'll tell 5 or 6 people; if you get lousy service, you'll tell everyone you know." Since more than 90% of the replies were no buyer's remorse, that at least tells the original poster that in the first month to year this is a great vehicle (so far) according to the average guy.

Your point is largely valid; there's just not much we can do at this point to remedy it. Time will tell.

WOW ... have had my XLT Eco for about 1 month. Did after market spray in, Ford soft tri-fold, splash guards and just finished applying Griot's 3 in 1 ceramic. I could not be any happier with my purchase. Above and beyond my expectations for a $25,000 truck

I am having extreme buyers remorse. My Maverick hybrid broke down and completely lost power while I was driving. Worse part is I had the car in my possession for less than an hour; less than 25 miles on the odometer.
I'm gonna make my dealer do a shake down cruise with me when I pick up my Mav.
