Button function

OK, I've scanned the owners manual, googled, and searched this forum. Can't seem to find what the 3rd button from the left (4th from the right) is for. While searching, I did get a good laugh. Somebody was asking what the far right button is for. Someone commented when you press it, a hand comes out and slaps the passenger.

It is interesting to see the differences in the different trim levels. On mine the whole panel if flipped and buttons in the opposite order.

I haven't gone out to look at my layout for these buttons but if we are talking about the red triangle, I would take that to be the hazard lights.

I don't believe he was referring to the hazard button.

Sometimes, when I don't know what a button does, I park in a safe place and you know... just push it and see what happens.

The button on the far right was first introduced in Ford Crown Vic COP cars.
When an officer wants a donut he simply presses the button and a hand holding a donut pops out of the dash, thus appeasing his hunger so he stays out on patrol longer.
Police department motor pools were tasked with reloading the dispensers, which proved to be a costly feature. Sub-par Krispy Kreme donuts, rather than the standard and far superior Shipley’s donuts were sometimes used. This proved disappointing to many Officers, working in Northern US states and Canada where no Shipley’s vendors exist.
The Police Union got involved and worked with auto manufacturers to put the donut button in all civilian vehicles. Thus, citizens who are stopped for minor traffic violations are now able to start off on more friendly terms with Officers by giving them a fresh, hot donut.
Research has shown that this not only reduces overhead costs for Police departments but it also reduces paper work for Officers in administering the collection of fines from violating drivers.
It’s a Win-Win for everyone involved.

This is the correct answer.

The point is once in a blue moon people want a dark screen.

The button just toggles off the screen to mostly black.

Useful on dark rural roads too.
And surprisingly there's quite a few unlit tunnels I've been in.

On my 2025 XLT with Lux package, that button toggles the display to show the date and time. I don't have the 360 degree camera.
