I’ve had the cerakote for a year, still looks great. 303 is great but why would you want to reapply so often?

I also tried the 303.it helped a bit,but did not restore the black back to new.I am curious what is the best to prevent the plastic from fading (if this is even possible).
I used 303 on a previous vehicle (wiper cowl area) and it looked great at first, but it was obvious it was coming off after several washes.
Maybe there is nothing that can be done to preserve the black plastic.
This is my first vehicle with black plastic and I have always avoided it on other vehicles. The good parts is.... since it's on all trims and not just on the higher trim models (like a lot of car brands)..... I could justify buying my 'no option' XL much easier.
I hand washed my Outlander for years until a tree fell on the hood and dented it a little bit. Then I decided it could also go through the car wash. One reason they've probably embraced it is because it's guaranteed to make any vehicle that's not garaged look old in a few years. Same with the headlight lenses. There are tons of vehicles that would still look almost-new if they didn't have all these exterior plastic pieces turning into an ugly haze in the sun. Guaranteed obsolescence.
This can be avoided by just parking in the garageWe have had our maverick 4 months.the black plastic bumper covers appear to be fading (turning grey). I assume this is from the sun.anyone else notice this?
True,my wife doesn't like walking to the pole barn though. This can be avoided by just parking in the garage
So, reporting back, I was unimpressed enough with this that I actually returned the bottle to Walmart. I tried it on one panel, followed directions to the T, but it is not anything at all like the spray/wipe Meguiars I've been using, which is simplicity itself. This stuff left a definite residue that I struggled to wipe clean, even using a totally clean/dry cloth. Tested a tiny place on both plastic and glass and got the same result, a greasy sort of residue that left smudges it was difficult to remove. Light touch all around, didn't overspray, didn't let dry. Returned, going back to my Meguiars.I just picked up some at Walmart today, interested enough to give it a try after so many mentions here.
What product didn't you like? I tried the 303,not impressed. So, reporting back, I was unimpressed enough with this that I actually returned the bottle to Walmart. 303 wont really reblack the bumper but the UV protectors can prevent it from happening in the first place. What product didn't you like? I tried the 303,not impressed.
