I thought I would put my build progress up. I have a few more things to do still.

2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid, Cactus Grey

Upgrades:
RTR Tech 6 - Satin Charcoal wheels 17"
245/70R17 Nitto Nomad Grapplers
Zep purple degreaser on tail lights
ZPEL 35% film on headlights.
Painted side emblems with Tremor Orange
Tinted windows
XPEL Stealth whole car cover
Bed Rug

In progress: Flatout Suspension GS Coilovers to lift 1.5". They sent the wrong rear setup so have the front on, but OEM rear. It is supposed to lift an additional 1.5". Tires already added 1" and surprisingly they fit on OEM height.

I am thinking about doing a wrap just on the entire both sides of the vehicle. What is your thought on this?

I would love to see that done. As far as preferences, I don't love shiny blue, but i have a feeling that a Matte on the Atlas Blue could be one of the best looking colors out there. The difference will be dramatic.

Another note, if you get PPF done. I highly recommend buying flexible ceramic coating (you'll pay about $80), and if you do it right away, very little prep needs to be done. But I added this to my PPF film the day after I took it home and I got 2 coats on there in about 1.5 hours and this thing sheds water and dirt like crazy. It's the way to go.
Thanks for the tip. A coworker has a blue Tesla with matte ppf and it looks great!

It looks damn awesome. Badass too.
But eff me if I'd spend that much cash for looks. Tell me it increases your hwy mpg by 5% and I'll make a spreadsheet up to justify the cost, though :geek:
the truck is also highly protected against stone chips and minor scrapes. xpel stealth is 10 mil thick and self-healing.

there's a YT video of a Bronco with xpel stealth going down a jeep trail and dragging the sides on sage or a similar brush (because Broncos are wider than Wranglers). it's scraped up badly, but then they just hit it with a heat gun, the 10 mil thick film melts and re-flattens, and no more scrapes.

I would not try that just to prove it works, but that's the level of paint protection he has.

Damn, if only it was within my price range. Very nice. Having this wrap on my Maverick along with reactive body armor I could actually park closer to the store when running errands. :ROFLMAO:

Saw this post and reached out to my local Xpel PPF installer. Got a quote, with 25% off if I sign today, comes out to $8,200.
Absolutely insane, don't do it. The highest I've ever seen locally is 7000 and that was on a much larger vehicle.

Can you take that through car washes? I've read that some matte wraps will be damaged by the automatic car washes and have to be hand washed instead

Yes you can wash it, it's not vinyl, it's urethane PPF. I paid $6900 and it was a hard pill to swallow in the moment, but I don't even think about it anymore and I love it. I put a ceramic coating over it myself and it's the easiest car to keep clean that I've ever had. And there really is nothing like it on the road.

Its not for the $$[faint]$$ of heart... My wife bought a $50K car and I got a $28K truck that I will probably add another $10K to. Expensive upgrades? Hell yes, but it's still a lot less than her car (and most) and I like 100x more!
Not for the faint of wallet either.
