Yes the door pillar areas are decal that can be removed and as others have mentioned with the rest of your issues would not be warranty concerns. I live in Michigan & have unlimited /monthly car wash i buy for my black maverick I’ve had since October of 21 and now over 72,000 miles without any problems you have. I agree with others appear to be wax and/or chemical cleaners.

Cerakote to the rescue. Do it now!! I did all my plastic first week I owned my truck and it is stored in a garage and lives in a state that takes 3 months to get as much sunshine as you guys in SoCal get in one day.

That is not black paint on the door posts but vinyl tape like most every car made today. Some here have removed that tape. It is painted underneath and I gotta say these trucks look good with that tape removed. A more traditional truck look IMHO.
Wait, like painted body color?

I'm curious to know what your car wash routine is. Mostly, I want to make sure I don't use whatever soap you use.

I stick with Meguiars Gold Class. However, I have noticed a common trend in used Ford vehicles where the rubber door trim will fade just like your pieces shown. I think the best defense is a product like Aerospace 303 for that.

There is no world where Ford's MIC plastic would be considered high-quality but this appears to be damaged from a product.

Don't use Cerakote before you remove the white haze with another product, and then make sure all oils and are dirt removed before applying. Cerakote is a permanent bonding product that does not restore plastic but adheres to it and protects it from dirt and water stains. Applying it to the plastic with the white on there will only ensure that the white is permanently there.

I’m in NC and it’s hot and sunny here all summer. I have not experienced the fade as you have shown. However the plastic is cheap and does need attention. McGuire Back to Black is an outstanding product and worked amazingly for me. I keep my truck pretty clean with hand washes. I waxed it this summer and then a couple months later used a ceramic treatment. These plastics won’t hold up unless cared for in my opinion.

IDK what you or someone else used on your vinyl & plastic truck bits, but it looks like perhaps it was a wax or ceramic product intended for use on painted surfaces.

I would paint or replace the fender medallions and just remove the chemically damaged vinyl appliqué from the door pillars.

I would wash with a high quality car wash. (never use dish detergent) completely dry and apply Mothers Back to Black as directed To all the effected black areas.

There is a lot of good car products out there, but I have had really good experiences with Griot’s Garage products. Washing, Ceramic coating, everything needed to keep your truck looking perfect!

as others have mentioned, remove the white wax haze first. there are products made just for that. covering it up with other products just kicks the can down the road at best.
protect your plastic trim with a product made for the purpose and always with UV blockers.

I bought my Maverick May 2023, and it only has 9000 miles on it. Its parked mostly outside in Southern California. The black trim with "Lariat" embossed on it both ob the driver and passenger side front fenders has already faded. Also the black trim on the keypad on the driver side door and the black paint on the door posts both door posts are faded. See the pictures. I have never used the keypad, didn't do any special detail work, or upgrades to the car. I think its a manufacturing defect because look at the Keypad, its completely faded but the post around is hardly faded. I took it to one dealer and they refused to repair it under warranty. Anybody see anything like this or know how to get Ford to fix it under warranty?

Not on those spots yet,but yes on the black plastic cladding on the bottom of the vehicle. I treated it with a turtle wax refinisher product and it helped.our vehicle is parked outside in Michigan.

Here are steps to remedy the wax damage: https://www.jdpower.com/cars/shopping-guides/how-to-remove-wax-from-plastic-trim

BTW, I haven't waxed a car in years. I even skip the wax option at car washes to avoid the potential plastics damage. Generally I've found the clearcoats don't need wax. I've had vehicles for 20+ years. They rust from the inside out. The clearcoat and paint are still in good shape, but the metal behind it is gone.

It looks to me like someone used a HI SPEED BUFFER on it? Burned some polish into the black trim. Buffers are for paint only and can damage plastic.
