I like the old school look of having bigger back tires and smaller fronts. I was thinking of going with 255-60 17 back with 225-6517 fronts. The diamter is close just wider. I have a 2025 fwd hybrid any problems?

I think this may be a better combination. With FWD, no worries about the powertrain, but I wonder what tolerance the anti-lock braking system can handle?

I think it will mess up something. Seems like every flat tire I've had to replace over the last fifteen years required purchasing a second new tire for the other side if the tread wear was beyond a certain percentage.

From my days as shop foreman: Those wide tires would strip the splines off the axles and was not covered by warranty. The owners were miffed when I told them of the factory rep's decision. Your tire selection is not that radical but you run the risk of repair out-of-pocket. A younger me would probably take the risk.
