All I know is I'm getting orange. It's a rare color and I love the look. It contrasts the black trim very well. I could also make some hunter green accents on the exterior.

Assuming you're going to drive your new car for four or five years or more, I'd say you should buy the color that you like best, keep the car clean and in good repair, don't put too many miles on it and don't worry about the resale value of the color. If you're going to flip the car, buy the most popular color.

An interesting two-minute read about colors.

Make mine Oxford White, Thanks!
After seeing an Oxford White Maverick and an A51 Maverick (XLT's) I've decided to change the color on my upcoming order from Carbonized Gray to Ox White!
I've been a little unhappy with all of the XLT base colors in pictures (except Ox White) because they look flat and therefore bland to me. I am not a person to do much polishing and detailing!
I think Oxford White is the only base color that looks great with the stock gray XLT mags, so I will save a grand on aftermarket wheels! Additionally, I will be able to use $109 stock black steelies (Tire Rack) for my winter tires, without the truck looking too hideous (for me at least).
I've never owned or even considered a white car or truck, so I'll see if I like it after it arrives sometime in the future!
I realize color is mostly or merely a personal preference, so if you disagree with my color choice - That's Cool!
Happy Maverick-ing.

black and white across the board?
That’s bland. At least Porsche buyers seem to value unique colors with their paint-to-sample being a popular option to splurge for.

I would think the list might be a little misleading. Most cars are black or white. The reason being is black and white are the cheapest colors to paint

Remember Ford once said "you can get it in any color as long as it's black"

If I ordered a 22, I would get orange. I'll have to see what colors are available next week for the 2023's.

So far everyone has complimented me on the color of my Maverick, they have probably never seen Area 51 color on anything, most vehicles around here are black/gray/silver/white.

White is so popular in trucks because it is a fleet color. This skews the results.

I was going to say Carbonized Grey. It's just an overall universal manly good looking color that doesn't show dirt/scratches/damage as much as any of the other colors.

White/Silver are safe too but white shows dirt a lot especially when dirty water leaks out of the trim panels and drips down the side. Silver is nice, but kind of boring on the Maverick.

Cyber Orange/Hot Pepper Red I believe will hold up the longest because it's a tri-coat color where the other non-premium colors are just single stage paint.

Out of 11 vehicles, 6 of mine have been white, none by choice! I had a couple cars from my parents when I was younger that were white, and then a couple used cars that I bought by necessity. Then two new Ford Fusions that I bought late in the model year for the big rebates, so no choice on color. Based on years of ownership, I've only had non-white vehicles for about 8 years out of 30+.

I bought the Velocity Blue Maverick and love it. I said that even if someone BOUGHT me a white vehicle, I wouldn't drive it at this point. :D

Conversely, my wife drove green cars from about 2002-2016, and she said "any color but green" when we were looking at a new one for her!

I would have preferred a red or white one but silver was the only Maverick on the lot so there was no choice. But I like it (and especially the 45 mpg)

I saw an article last year saying the car makers were going towards black, white, and grey because people are tired of colors. They also said if a color isn't popular like they thought, they end up with several hard to sell vehicles.

I say bologna! It's hard to find a black, grey, or white vehicle in a sea of them. I'm glad to see that several people on here prefer colors. I know I do. :)

I think the sales number of white trucks is thrown off by the fact that a large number of fleet vehicles are white. I don't think most individual buyers shopping for trucks are looking for white ones. I think that A51 would be the best color specifically for the Maverick resale simply because it's been the most popular color. I think something like 25% of Mavs ordered were A51. I might be a little biased though..

Buy the color you like -- you're going to have to look at it every day for 5-10 years. Whoever is buying it from you a decade from now will likely be far more concerned about the condition, miles and price.
