Hey guys, just bought my pepper red 2023 XLT lux (wasn’t an order, just bought from a dealer) and I love it! Already getting 37 mpg which still blows my mind in a truck, even with it being compact.

This is my first truck, need recommendations on best spray in bed liner as well as best hard cover (either tri fold or retractable is fine with me). Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I've heard that Line-X Premium is the best way to go for spray in liners. I'm getting mine done this week.

I did the factory spray-in bedliner but have Line-X in another vehicle, it's held up great after 17 years.

For hard cover, consider either the Bak Revolver X4s or the Truxedo Sentry / Sentry CT. They roll up and unroll easy (no sags or stretching the cover to reach snaps like soft tonneaus), can support moderate weight on top while you're loading the bed and take up less space in the bed than a retractable with the integrated storage box.

Hey Craig, you've got my curiosity aroused with your Continental Tire remark. Are Continental tires no good? Tire Rack has 3 tires for the Maverick, a Michelin ($212), a Pirelli ($217) very LOUD, and the Continental for $161. I know that "you get what you pay for," which puts Continental in a bad light. I always replace original tires with Michelins, but I plan on running these Continentals until their tread is gone. Should I be wary?

Yes they are perfect If you run them a on a dry straight freeway with no debris on it . They are thin sidewalls no traction on wet roads or curves let alone snow or mud . Have had two sets of them learned from my first set on my wife's Cherokee . No traction at all replace them at 11000 miles more then half the tread gone might of got 20000 mile out of the set I could go on but I would not recommend these tires to my worst enemy 👎😧 Straight up Continentals are a very cheap and poor tire i would not put them on my Kiddy Car . This is not my opinion but facts from the two sets I had . 👎😧😱☠ To me safety is one of the most important things I want in a Vehicle. For me and my family Not Safe ☠

Our Escape had Michelin as OEM. Not last long, got noisy as worn down. Got Continental and they better tires, so far, in terms of handling, quieter. These typically found on Mercedes, BMWs and other higher class vehicles.

I was just about to consider ordering these, but the sales man said they will ride differently and wont be as smooth.. I mainly do highway driving and would be conserned about wet and ice roads - not in a major snow area at all. How do you like the feel, have you noticed major MPG difference ?

I had two Mavericks a 22 and 23 XLT Hybrid. I have drove the 22 with the Wildpeaks on it for 17000 plus miles across the USA and back . Last year North Tn had a very bad winter -8 with a wind chill of -28 snow and ice I live in the middle of nowhere lots of curves and lots of hills . I went everywhere I needed to go in the bad weather . Were I live they don't believe in snowplows just the Sun 🌞😎

My 23 XLT Hybrid I put a little over 800miles on it and sold it . It had the Continentals on it . No difference in ride between the two , no loss of milage with the Wildpeaks I average 42 MPH with the Wildpeaks . Did not get to break in the 23 with only 800 miles but was getting 38 MPH on it . I'm retired law enforcement I drive hard when I need too . 🚔🚒 I have no problems with the Wildpeaks handling 😊 it's no sports car 🤔 but when you put it into a corner hard and squeal the tires on a sharp curve it holds its own..

Hope this helps I'm not expert but I know but I know a little about how good tires will always make a vehicle perform and handle better . 👻🇺🇸😊👍
