Yes, I put one in. As others have said, it’s much less slippery and easier on your knees. It’s also easier to pull out of the bed to clean off and wash down.

I do not have a bed mat in this truck or any truck I have owned, SIBL or DIBL. My 2014 F150 I purposely bought a DIBL because it was slippery. At the time the bed was full of totes containing tools and equipment for my profession. With the DIBL I could use the cargo rod that I kept between the 1st row and 2nd row of totes and pull totes to me avoiding crawling into the bed.
The Maverick has the factory SIBL and maybe it is just mine but anything with a small amount of weight stays put. Well maybe not if I have to stand on the brakes to go from 65 to 0 in 5 seconds or less. But when I have items in there I don't want to break I drive more conservative on acceleration and braking. As for the knees I have never needed to crawl into the bed of the Maverick, but the F150 was a different story. I can reach anything in the bed from the sides if needed but I carry an old bath towel in the event I need ti kneel in the bed or on the side of the road to change a tire.
I can appreciate why some want the bed mat over the SIBL because mine at least is very gritty and rough. If I was going to haul something I did not want scratched up I would definitely use a moving blanket or cardboard.
I did add a board across the back at the slots just before I ever put anything in the bed after purchasing the truck. So it does keep grocery bags from sliding. I could see plastic bagged itemsor totes not staying put on the SIBL.

My factory SIBL on my Mav is great but things slide like crazy on it. Also as has been mentioned, it kills my 69 year old knees. I just won a 3W bed mat right here on the forum and installed it and bingo! It is soft enough for these old knees, and things do not slip around untill you are moving sideways at great speeds. Even then, this mat comes with plastic pieces that fit into the raised knobs on the mat and lock things in place tightly. It's a simple but effective method I have never seen on a bed mat before. It's genius, really. I highly recommend this mat. It fits perfectly, lays flat nicely and is easy to remove for cleaning.

Sometimes I transport guitars in their cases and amplifiers, speaker cabinets...

The spray in bed liner is like 40 grit sandpaper and the gear slides around. It would get all messed up on the spray liner.

That being said, if I'm doing yard work and have tools and dirt and stuff, I take the mat out so I can just spray out the muck.

Best of both worlds, I think.

Got a factory SIBL, and added a mat.... after a few visits to the dump, the mat is showing damage that would have ruined the SIBL, and the bed.... but, definitely get a heavy mat that doesn't try and float out of the bed.... It can't escape, as I secured mine under the front tie-downs, but need to keep the backend down with a weight... and, agree... it saves your kneecaps!

I placed a mat on top of my sprayed in liner because if I haul furniture the spray in liner would tear/scratch the leather/fabric, also easer on the knees.

I have a spray in bedliner. I also have a mat. The mat came with my floor mats, so... why not. It does keep things from sliding around some.

My 2024 Maverick Lariat came with a spray-in bed liner and a bed mat that cost $140.00 per the window sticker. I haul firewood on a regular basis, sometimes as much as 1300 pounds. I feel the bed mat won't wear but the spray-in will. Ford sells it that way so no problem IMO.

I have the factory, sprayed ln liner on my 3024 Lariat. I purchased a bed mat from WeatherTech. It fits perfectly and I love it!

Yes it’s a good idea for me…have factory sibl and bought Maverick OE bed mat with points. Personal choice for me, things stay put, my knees thank me every time, and when I wash my truck, sometimes I’ll take it out and spray it down.

I have a mat over spray liner. It keeps everything from moving around
My current truck (Nissan Frontier) has a factory SIBL. Threw in a rubber bed mat for reasons already mentioned here...easier on the knees, prevents stuff from sliding around, also gives a flatter surface rather than the ridges in the bed floor.

However, I trimmed a piece of indoor-outdoor carpet (basically Bed Rug) and threw it on top of the bed mat that is on top of the SIBL. I guess I'm a belt-and-suspenders-over-boxers-over-briefs person.

What I found is that not being able to slide things around easily was more cumbersome than just strapping things down on a lower-friction surface. Most of the time, I can spread things out to take up all of the bed floor space so nothing has room to move around anyway. Hence the carpet.

Yeah I installed the FORD Parts bed mat over my OEM spray in liner. No adverse issues and no dents in my bed.
