Got a factory SIBL, and added a mat.... after a few visits to the dump, the mat is showing damage that would have ruined the SIBL, and the bed.... but, definitely get a heavy mat that doesn't try and float out of the bed.... It can't escape, as I secured mine under the front tie-downs, but...
Sounds like the perfect upgrade! If Ford had offered that as an additional 'option' I would have ticked the box without hesitation... never mind the arm and leg it would have cost me?!
Well done, CNJFF! they're a great solution!... But, I still find it annoying that vehicles don't come with them already? I've always regarded them as a safety feature, with respect to other traffic? The amount of 'accessories' that should be standard is mind-blowing.... and Ford should be...

For my 2000 ranger and wife's 2016 Subaru, I inserted chickenwire within the air intake vents... they still caused damage elsewhere... but, it prevented the smell of death occurring inside....:puke: …the Mav seems to be a harder task...
…I get that the vent allows air pressure to be released, but, what's on the outside? Is there anything in the outer area of the flaps, to block access to rodents, bugs, etc.? I've yet to find a diagram anywhere, and physically looking doesn't work? It's bad enough worrying about them getting...
1st change was around about 2000 miles... and now I can relax... between 5&7000 will be fine in my world... Never mind new technology.... My driving like a saint, as opposed to my wife driving like a demon? 10000 gives me the collywobbles... simple as!:whew:
