Got a factory SIBL, and added a mat.... after a few visits to the dump, the mat is showing damage that would have ruined the SIBL, and the bed.... but, definitely get a heavy mat that doesn't try and float out of the bed.... It can't escape, as I secured mine under the front tie-downs, but...

Well done, CNJFF! they're a great solution!... But, I still find it annoying that vehicles don't come with them already? I've always regarded them as a safety feature, with respect to other traffic? The amount of 'accessories' that should be standard is mind-blowing.... and Ford should be...

Obviously, overloading any electronic system is detrimental.... But, I don't think adding 'some' additional lighting and/or a dashcam, for personal safety and piece of mind, would void any warranty coverage? Unless its improperly installed, of course?.... Good luck with the outcome!

For my 2000 ranger and wife's 2016 Subaru, I inserted chickenwire within the air intake vents... they still caused damage elsewhere... but, it prevented the smell of death occurring inside....:puke: …the Mav seems to be a harder task...:question:

…I get that the vent allows air pressure to be released, but, what's on the outside? Is there anything in the outer area of the flaps, to block access to rodents, bugs, etc.? I've yet to find a diagram anywhere, and physically looking doesn't work? It's bad enough worrying about them getting...

Have you checked out all the dashcams on Amazon, that could probably solve your problem?
