What are your needs from a bed liner?
For drop-in, the Ford modular is hard to beat bang-for-buck if using 42000 Ford Points.
Mine was delivered to my home for ~$170.
I agree. I used my points as well. great abrasion and also dent protection. May I ask where you got it for $170 delivered?

I'm planning to double up and get a spray in liner along with the OEM rubber bed mat. If you are doing instrument cases I would avoid any plastic options, as the cases will slide around.

My Maverick XLT is on the way as I got my shipped email last week. To say I am excited is an understatement. I am wondering about bed liner options. My initial thought is to do a spray-in liner. For those who have some type of liner (spray, drop, rug, etc.) how have you liked them so far, and if you had the option to change to something else, would you? I'm looking for pros and cons because I want to make sure I get what fits my needs, and since I've never owned a truck I am just looking at all the options. Thanks in advance!
Depending on where you live a drop in bed liner is not a good idea. During the winter salt splash gets underneath the liner and will destroy your bed.
I would go with a high quality sprayed l if liner.
My sprayed in liner was factory installed. I put a rubber mat over the floor of the bed because I want to keep the truck as long as possible.

I used my points and bought and installed the Ford Maverick drop in bed liner from Ford.

It is manufactured by Penta (Duraliner). Note the Duraliner after market liner is a two piece liner and the Ford liner is a five piece modular liner.

I am very happy with the form, fit, and function.

This is exactly what I did.

This 74 yr old installed the factory drop in bed liner myself on my XLT Hybrid and couldn't be happier. Make sure you install it on a nice sunny day to soften up the pieces. I had a Tacoma pre-runner with one and loved it for years. The plastic is tough as nails and it won't scratch your stuff.

I ordered a Ford rubber bed mat and the tali gate protector last week. When my Maverick arrives I can throw the bed mat in right away.

That is what I had in my last truck.
It served me very well for years.

I have used Rhino Lining once [2006 GMC Canyon] and Line-X twice [2016 GMC Canyon and 2022 Mav.] I prefer the texture of Line-X. I slide heavy items in and out. Plastic liners gouge easier. Also, spray-in gives some acoustic benefits as it absorbs noise better than loose fitting plastic or a pad.

Thanks. This actually answers a question I was going to post here. This will be my first vehicle with a bed and I live in the northeast. I was leaning towards spray in because I figured moisture/salt/debris would get trapped under drop ins over time. Although I have seen people that have had drop ins for years.....though I've never seen what the bed looked like underneath. At any rate, thanks again.

I've had a spray in for 10 years and a drop in for 10 years. The spray in is better for the Maverick because the bed is small enough you can reach everywhere in it. The drop ins are better for huge beds where you may want to place a tool box down and then slide it back. However if you are moving something like a refrigerator on a spray in liner, it can be tough to get it all the way on, you sort of have to walk it because it won't slide.

Things will not slide as easily with the sprayed liner. My fishing buddies have the sprayed liner for just that reason.

You want Alex Pendleton @ Realtruck, make sure you PM him or send him an email. He will get you a very meaningful discount just for being on this forum. Can't wait to see pics of your new truck. Good luck!
