Got a recall notice for our '22 EB XLT to have the BCM updated to take care of a potential problem with the taillights. Called the dealer (Klaben Crown Ford of Warren, OH) to arrange for them to pick up the Mav and bring it back when the update was done. While I was talking to the scheduler, he offered to have a technician come to our home and perform the update. I agreed to that in a heartbeat. It meant I didn't have to drive the Mav on our salt-encrusted roads.

The tech showed up on time and was only here for about 15 minutes. I signed the paperwork and it was all done.

I ask you, how much easier can it get?

My dealer at Woodstock Ford in Ontario Canada immediately made arrangements to pick up my truck about 25 minutes away at my workplace and will have it back to me in a few hours. That is Quality Service. Thank you Woodstock Ford.

Just curious if anyone has had any issues since having the BCM recall done, I had mine done yesterday, then today after I arrived at work the tail lights turned on after the truck was shut off and parked for about 20 minutes. Had to go out and turn the truck on and off to get them to turn off. Hasn't done it again yet. Also did not get a low fuel warning when the DTE went below 80km today, although I believe that's generated by the IPC and not the BCM.

Just got this letter in the mail. If they knew about this in January why didn't the Ford dealer update before I picked it up in April? SMH

After 2 attempts to get a BCM recall done at the dealership(complaint & details on another thread), they started with their Mobile Tech service. As of today, I have used them for 3 recalls. The last one done was the possibility that the tail lights would not work. The other 2 were the Hyperflash tail lights if using LED bulbs (which I was) and the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) illumination. I called the Mobile service, got an appointment within 2 days (next day on the last one) and it was done in my driveway. Same tech for each one. Professional and courteous. While the computer was doing its thing, he checked the air in all tires & topped off all fluids. After he was done, he ran a complete diagnostic check for any other codes or issues. He was here 45 mins total. I will continue to use this service rather than losing the use of my truck for 2 days and running back & forth to the dealership. I just hope all the other Mobile Service techs are as good as mine!

I have had the BCM recall(s) done with no issues, I also had the IPC recall done. No issues. The on & off of the truck might be part of the reprogramming sequence and the tech missed that step.
