My 4/23 built XLT FX4 is not listed for this recall. I have the BAGM-48H6-760 from the factory.

My Ford Pass is NOT showing a recall.
(Late 2022 build, 10/31/2022).

I will check the battery (for type) and VIN when I get home...

Strange, it doesn’t include 2024 models. I get battery preservation mode message on daily basis.
This recall is for EcoBoosts that have EFB (22 Mavericks EBs).

This recall is not for hybrids. I find it ironic that the EB now has 2 12v battery recalls, and the hybrid hasn't. Very strange.

Because it's for a very specific fault of the Camel manufactured batteries having internal inter-cell connections that fail.

Ford appears to have realized the EFB batteries were failing internally so quietly switched to AGMs through 22MY. Ford tried to detect the failing EFBs with the updated BMS of recall 24V267 (even though that identified that the EFB batteries were basically at fault). Some of the affected vehicles were not tagged/erroneously closed out so there was follow-up recall 24V590. NHTSA then had reports of vehicles that had received the updated BMS still failing mid-drive so filed a query with Ford (informally 9/24, formally 11/24). Ford determined that "Prior software released as part of FSA 24S24 is unable to detect certain electrical signatures present on failed batteries and/or failed to disable stop/start functionality quickly enough." (basically the software fix didn't work) so now they're proactively replacing them.

The stack of recalls on my 22 ( base XL with verry few cosmetic options - Born late June 2022) is reaching epic levels - I believe this is number 6 - could be 7 (all software updates - 1 airbag recall which i won't do until I scratch my dash or wreck my headliner myself first ;) )

No problems with anyone of them at the moment - but it is starting to feel like Russian roulette every time I drive it.

Looks like me waiting for the rear camera recall fix to schedule these I may even get a few more ...

Love my Truck - Questioning the electrical/software engineering more and more each day ;)

Cheers
My ā€˜22 hybrid Lariat has had multiple recalls as well, so more in the future won’t surprise me.

I kept getting the ā€œdeep sleepā€ warning on both my Mav and my wife’s 22 hybrid Escape. I called the dealer, and both of our batteries were down to 38%. They replaced both of them under factory warranty free of charge back in October, 2024. I haven’t received a notice about our vehicles yet.

My maverick still goes into sleep mode if it isn't used for 4-5 days . never failed to start yet but bought jump starter just in case . also added voltage monitor ( Amazon with added usb/usc port for less than $10 )to cigarette lighter socket ( lowest voltage 11.6 ) . quit using auto start stop before software update for battery last year and that seemed to help . update evidently didn't solve the problem . according to voltage monitor , voltage still drops significantly after vehicle is turned off . planned to replace battery if failed in future .

Did you turn off the call home options in the settings? I did that day one and haven't had an issue yet. Still under a year though.

Didn't know I have a call home feature . Will probably turn it off if I can find it . I only call home from grocery store to wife to see if I forgot something .

They are talking about the telemetry in the connectivity settings screen. Basically it has a modem / antenna that sends info out like a cell phone. You can turn that feature off if you don't need to remote start it.

My truck was built in June of 2024 and I think it has an AGM battery, so are they now putting them in all Mavericks? I haven't had a deep sleep issue yet, but it's been only six months. And I usually drive it 4-5 days a week.

Do you know if they replaced them with the factory flooded battery or a different AGM battery? Also how long time-wise do you drive when you do drive them? Those of us still getting the error and waiting on Ford's fix this year tend to drive less than 15 minute drives and it depletes the 12v over time. I might break down and go to the dealer if this is the fix we have been waiting for.
