Got a notice the 12v battery for my Mav in my Amazon shopping cart dropped almost $25. Still can't get used to the price of batteries.

Remember when there was KMart? 🤣 Or Sears Atlas brand?
Still gets me when I see Craftsman products being sold at Lowe's. Got my latest Craftsman lawn tractor from them.

I remember when the price of an auto battery corresponded to the number of months warranty, ie $72 for a 72 month battery.

Hell I can remember when a candy bar was 5 cents, those days are long gone.
I used to "return" Mom's empty milk bottles ( she was not amused) and get a 6 oz Coke and a candy bar for the 10 cent deposit.

And a pack of cigarettes for "my mom" was $1 and the matches were free 😬
In 1978 every morning after clocking in at work I purchased a cup of coffee from the vending machine,15 cents, a Hostess cinnamon roll, 25 cents, and a pack of Winstons, 55 cents.

My first "mid-sized" truck was $7995.

And I am only in "mid-life".

Trucks were what you bought when you wanted basic transportation. Cars were too expensive.

Cheapest gas I ever pumped myself was .739 / gallon.

Though, to be fair, I bought E85 85% ethanol for 85 cents a gallon a few times at pump "grand openings" in the corn belt in the 2010's.
