Though I did see the 12volt battery has to also power modules like the PCM to start engine

The high voltage battery charges the 12 volt which starts the ICE. If stuck with weak 12 volt battery truck won’t start. It would have enough voltage to just open a relay probably 99% of the time. When you jump start the Hybrid it’s done from the posts under the hood. I believe the most recent recall is to rectify problem with stop start when stopped at light etc. Ford uses marginal batteries. I had a terrible time with F150 batteries being underpowered until I got a Canadian spec battery with same footprint.
Most recent recall is for EB's.
There is no auto start/stop system on the hybrids.

To your last post - 12VB does NOT power anything to start the engine.

Generator motor starts the engine, that's running off the HVB.

Once you click past Acc to On, HVB is powering the 12V systems, that includes the modules.

Well, no new battery, they apparently did the SSM process and said the battery tested fine. I could see my truck in the app while I was waiting to pick it up and the location showed it in the dealer parking lot, but 5 mins after parking it in my garage I got a deep sleep message again. Oh, well hopefully the fix is coming sooner than later.

I also had to reset the oil life cause the service department did not. Not a big deal for me but not everyone knows to check this after you pay someone to change the oil.

I would assumed they would have charged the battery (silly me) its currently @ 21% SOC. They did reconnect the monitor, so I guess that's a win?
That SSM process to check for a bad battery after a drain (perhaps since you didn't have one they didn't do the other steps), starts with a full charge, then load test.

Hope they didn't reset the BS with battery that low.

Still hoping someone with a 25MY will take picture of the Battery Sensor on negative post, to be readable.
Of course knowing Ford, could be totally different and be given the same part number stamped on it anyway.

AGM’s are better than flooded for several reasons.
I won’t run Flooded anymore,
The small additional cost of 25 to 50% more than flooded is offset by the fact you’re likely to get twice the service life.
Even if I needed the software update and was sure it would fix the problem I’d still install an AGM.
Tech moves forward into the future, The Flooded batteries of today are just like the ones made In The 70’s

Get up and get down with the sickness~~~~
Disturbed.

Maverick hybrid starts with the 12 Volt battery
Not the ICE. It is started with the starter/generator in the eCVT, using the HV battery.

The 12v battery only starts computers and closes relay(s) that allow the HV battery to start the ICE, using the starter/generator motor in the transmission.

Here I have to disagree. AGMs typically are better at providing more cranking power and deep discharge characteristics, both of which are not used in a Hybrid, and have a higher charge rate curve that again is not used in the Hybrid. The reserve capacity is the important number on the Hybrids, and is not that much more for twice the price. An EFL that is not used for cranking, not drained down below about 30% and is topped up to 100% during the trip will probably last just as long, and is much better bang for the buck. An AGM is just wasted money.

An agm will have more capacity which has to be used prior to the reserve capacity is. However the charging routine does not appear to utilize most of the AGM benefits but it may pay for the initial cost on a cost per day use basis particularly if you add a fee for down time.
