Well I set up the pivot to show the worst voltages at starting of the truck...

Wow - nose dive with the temps?
Or your temps really nose dived too?

And I'd bet that Av E SOC includes a little standing charge on turnoff?

Still only seeing 10A starting charge for a few minutes of each drive?

Well, thanks for making me feel better about my normal 11.6-11.8 starting V in the morning.

Very nice table. My average SOC tends to be in the neighborhood of 30%. This is according to dealer reporting remotely.

This is shortening the life of your battery. I would recommend using a battery tender to overcome this issue.

On the hybrid trickle charging the 12V battery periodically appears to be futile. The two spikes in the SOC was when I put it on a charger (using the jump posts). Note how short lived the fix lasted. The BMS or the battery do not want to cooperate. Note: on this graph I cut the highest voltage shown off at 12.8V in order to show the stored voltage better.

I put in my own AGM battery and still having deep sleep issues, I hooked up a solar trickle charger and turned off the wifi etc. so no more ford pass. See what happens . this is my third battery in a year and a half, my understanding is the Maverick uses the same set up as the Escape, wonder if all those owners have the same problem?

I'd say they do:
Low 12-volt battery voltage in 2023 Escape PHEV

2020 Ford Escape Hybrid - replace 12 volt battery with larger Group 48 AGM

If you still have issues, pull combo fuse 11/12 in the fuse panel, located in the passenger footwell behind the large plastic kick panel. That will disconnect the sometimes parasitic Telematics modem (and nothing else).

Just found this thread and wanted to add my experience in my '24 Hybrid thus far. Got deep sleep/battery saver notification for the first time in mid December. Drove a decent amount, including a trip to the airport to leave for a few days for Christmas. Got another notification the day before I got back, but truck still started without issue on 12/27. Drove it the 75 miles home from the airport plus another 60 or so miles that day. Still ended up getting the battery saver notification, and by 12/30 the truck wouldn't start at all.

Had truck towed to dealership, diagnosed as a battery failure due to sulfation. Replaced under warranty with another BXT-99RT4-A, BMS reset, and got truck back on 1/2. Woke up to the same battery saver notification with the new battery, and truck won't start again on 1/3. Back to the drawing board...
You gotta get a rechargeable jump starting power brick to not get stranded with the lead acid batteries. They come with flashlight & usb port. Store it under passenger seat. I put my stock lead acid battery on trickle charge numerous times & it wouldn’t go over 11.7 volts. I’ve had battery saver mode troubles every winter in Connecticut since 2022.

Being on the Wet Coast of Canada means our temps are usually mild. Here are the temps at the battery (obviously under the back seat) for the same time period. My truck is stored in a slightly heated garage at night but sits outside at work 5 days a week.

Has anyone pulled the battery from their truck for an extended period of time? I was thinking of putting the battery through the desulfation mode on my battery charger? I have had vehicles in the past that doing something like this could lock the radio requiring a service call to put in some code to unlock again (anti-theft of the past). I assume the truck would have to start over and relearn the miles to empty and other averages?

I took my 2024 in for inspection/oil change/recalls last month and complained about the battery issue. The advisor said it would be tested but they couldn't replace it unless it tested to a certain level. It of course failed and they replaced it. No idea what they put in but so far it has been good and it has been cold here and i haven't driven the truck in several days. Looking forward to the software fix.

What people aren't saying is if it they replaced the battery with an AGM battery or the same flooded battery they had before.
this seems to be a more common problem with the F-150 (maybe powerboost only; I wasn't watching for that).

Replacing with AGM is one part of the solution, but . . .

Since 2025 Hybrid models now come with an AGM battery perhaps Ford has seen the light.
. . . "non motorcraft" seems to be the other half!

<Sarcasm ON> When you look at all of the data I have on my 12v battery since installing the monitor, I am not entirely sure, but there might be a trend starting to show? <Sarcasm OFF>

Maybe I should start taking bets on when I will have to pull out the jump box & jump start it for the first time!

I should probably check and make sure it's fully charged!
