There are many reports of Mav Hybrids with CV Axle problems, and as noted the problem is exacerbated by a lift. But it happens to plenty of stock trucks too.
I don't remember a single post of axel problems, with either engine option, on an unmodified truck.

I am maybe wrong, but am very inclined to say the problem rate is insignificant.

Yeah I was a little surprised. I put the stock wheels and tires back on.
what I’m more surprised about is how sensitive this vehicle is. The modification is very minimal.
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem I’m not the only person with bigger tires ect.
You say the modification was minimal but you changed geometry increasing stress in a way your axles were not designed to be stressed.

Think of it this way - you can push on the ends of a straw pretty firmly while it maintains integrity but have someone bump the side of it and it crumbles. Raising your truck put that stress on your axles.

Add to the fact it appears you put significantly heavier tires on and it's not minimal at all.

That's why Ford made the half shafts bigger on the Tremor.

Plenty of Rangers, F150s, Broncos, and just about every other "truck" with IFS will have axle issues - it is part of the trade off with IFS.

Hmmm.  I seem to recall quite a few cv/axle problems on the forum. Perhaps do an advanced search on: Axles. I may be mistaken but check out the info listed below for more info on the subject of bad axles.

yep, there's a reason my factory lifted Raptor has a 6 bearing cv instead of the regular 4 bearing.

Anyone having issues with front axles? My front end was shaking when accelerating at about 15K miles and the axles were replaced by dealership under warranty. I now have 36K miles with the same issue, 2022 XL Hyrid.
Yes, I also have a front end vibration. It begins around 40 MPH and it's worse between 55 and 60 MPH. "22 Lariat Hybrid-FWD. 37K on odometer and the vibration started about 400 miles ago. I have an appointment tomorrow to have it looked it.

Sounds like it’s time for them to upgrade the parts with a recall this is terrible

I've had mine replaced with no lift but they also didn't fail, just flung out what I can only assume was most of their grease on the outer CV boots. It's just a stock CV angle that is reaching the limit of what a (lowest bid supplier aka cheap) half shaft can tolerate.

What I don't get is that outside of the Tremor model with it's beefier hardware if someone were to do these things (Lift with oversize tires) to an Escape and experience problems nobody would be surprised. Now we have a "different" vehicle (The Maverick) with a different shape based on the same exact C2 platform as the Escape and running a lot of the same parts and people get all up in arms when their "truck" doesn't perform to their unrealistic standards. Add in the fact that it's one of the cheapest vehicles on the market and that doesn't help. People want their cake and they want to eat it too...

I'd just be happy with some aftermarket CV axles-

Nothing available as far as I know...

You are. Most reports on this forum are stock trucks, and there are a lot of them. Threads and posts abound on this subject...

If it was just one report, I would link you to it to save (my own) face. But there are so many, I'm not going to link to them, to save you the embarrassment.
