The part #s for the 25 Mavericks are not the same as the updated parts for 22-24 Mavericks (which also start with SZ6Z).

There are various parts catalogs that dealers can use to look up parts. I looked up parts for my 22 hybrid in ECAT (Ford's electronic catalog). It did NOT show the latest supersession for my CV axles.

So your dealer probably just looked in their catalog and they saw the NZ6Zs.

However, I check on those part #s in DOW (where parts are ordered from Ford). It shows the supersession there. I'll attach some screen shots from DOW that show the "replacing parts":
NZ6Z-3B437-B.JPG
NZ6Z-3B436-F.JPG

For 25 hybrid Mavericks:
FWD hybrids SZ6Z-3ZB436-B & SZ6Z-3ZB437-A.
AWD hybrids: SZ6Z-3ZB436-A & SZ6Z-3ZB437-A.

So these are different from the updated parts for the 22-24 Maverick hybrids (SZ6Z-3B436-E & SZ6Z-3B437-C)
kevin, nice work and thanks for looking all that up. are there revised part #s for the 22-24 ecoboost non-tremor front cv joints as well?

I looked up a 22 XL EB as an example.
LH originally NZ6Z-3B437-A. Replaced by NZ6Z-3B437-C. (These are currently on back order..... notes say "working with supplier on future ship plan").
RH NZ6Z-3B436-B. Never replaced. (This part is available to order).

The notes show that those parts fit vehicles up to 03/22/23 build date.

I looked at a later build 24 EB:
LH NZ6Z-3B437-C. So they just never had the "A".
RH NZ6Z-3B436-D Not replaced. Also on back order "working with supplier on future ship plan").

All of those were for AWD.

I'm wondering if a camera replacement may eventually be the fix. But potentially a downgrade. I don't think NHTSA has an actual spec for minimum camera resolution. If there's a processing power issue then installing a lower resolution camera could be one way to lick it. Hopefully it looks better than an 8 bit video game.

The Ford Ka BR had a very similar sync (maybe the same) to the maverick and the reversing camera had no problem and had an excellent resolution.
Let's hope it resolves in the best way.

Kevin,

What are the parts number for the 25 Maverick EB AWD? Thanks for all your work on MTC!

Is the physical camera, lens, wiring etc..the same in the Lariat as in xl and XLT, up to the point it is processed?

Exact same camera and image processing module from the factory in 22-24 XL, XLT & Lariat Mavericks.

The difference is in the APIM (accessory protocol interface module). Unless there are some other modules involved that I don't know about!

Kevin,

What are the parts number for the 25 Maverick EB AWD? Thanks for all your work on MTC!

Looked up 25 EB AWD:

LH NZ6Z-3B437-C
RH NZ6Z-3B436-D

So no change from the 24s (or most up-to-date parts #s for 22 & 23).

Thank you I appreciate it.

I wonder what hoops Ford will have to jump through to satisfy NHTSA's requirements in order to lift the No Sell Hold on thousands new 2024 xl and XLT
Sitting in storage lots just getting old.
Getting it fixed right and making it work like the ones on the Lariat. That just may involved APIM replacement. Hasn't all this been dragging on since September? Seems the easy fix timetable has been exhausted and we are into something much more involved. This is absolutely why Ford was forced into this by the gubmint.

I tell you, I regret buying a Ford. I like the truck and the Hybrid idea. I thought because the drive train was proven in the Escape, I'd be safe buying this. I would never buy a Ford with Plastic EcoBlast motor of any kind. They are junk. The last time I bought a Ferd truck was in 1979. That truck had many issues. Since then I've owned and still have a full size GMC. I was very hesitant to go back to Ford. I'm am so tired of the f---king battery issue. Having no dome lights, no remote and many times having to use the key to unlock the door, charge the battery. Jump started once now.I could have bought a 20 year old mini truck for a lot less money and more reliable.

Kevin,

Are you saying that the original cv-joint on the 22 AWD EB was updated at some point? I ordered a 25 Maverick EB and wondering if the cv-joints are different from my 22 Maverick.

Again thanks!

There was a part number change....but exactly what was changed in the part itself, I can't say. Could just be a manufacturer change. Or some material change. Or something else.

22 EB AWD: LH originally NZ6Z-3B437-A. Replaced by NZ6Z-3B437-C.

I got my recall letter regarding my 2024 XL hybrid back up camera a few weeks ago. My understanding was Ford will send another letter once a fix is out.
Read a few posts here also saying fix will be first quarter of 2025

Bored at work today and decided to give my local Ford service a call.
Service advisor said "let me call my parts department, parts are usually 2 days out"

I asked " so it wont be a software update for the fix?"

He said "nope, it will be a camera replacement...give me a few minutes, let me get a hold of my parts department and I'll call you once I have a part ETA"

:unsure::coffee::inspect:

UPDATE: I called him after a few hours and was told you are correct, still advance notice:cwl:

Not sure why he said there's a part and fix for it when I called this morning
Ford had a huge safety recall and fine for other cameras from other models. he probably was just confused. I do think they will end up having to replace hardware for ours too. if it was software i think they would already have a solution.
