Auto Stop disable device- Which one?

I am ready to take the plung and get an Auto Stop device.

I have seen 2 that plug in behind the obd2 connector...

Are these the same? Same company?

Curious to this as well. Was looking at them the other day. Can't imagine there is much of a difference but the one has the extra plug. Not sure what its for. Then again, it could just be the chip and not an extra plug. Can't tell from the picture.

Doesn't look like that's an extra plug but the electronics itself. Whereas the other just zip-ties the board to its own wiring.

Funny enough I was editing my original message as you were responding. Noticed the chip on the 4dtech one and put two and two together. Thanks for clarifying though!

I prefer this solution as it's cheaper and I can enable/disable at will. Also retains the last setting on startup.

The first one. Auto Stop Eliminator. Been using theirs in numerous vehicles for years.

That 2nd one looks janky AF.

ASE has a 3 year warranty, janky off brand weird one has 1.

Just do the Forscan change someone posted on here. Did it a long time ago and the systems been off ever since.

That is where I connected my solution, right at the switch.
Not sure what signal they are using to sense the car is on, since all the pins work by shorting to ground. They must be using the same trick as am by sensing the Auto S/S light.

NO the autostopeleminator has been around since the beginning of the run stop bs!buy it and your done.

I bought the one from 4d about a year ago, installed it and forgot about it.
I also bought their Sync 3 Module that has NAV, which my '22 Maverick 2.0 EB didn't come with.
Have not had any problems with either of them.

This may be a stupid question but is the Auto start/stop feature only on the Ecoboost? Just picked up my hybrid yesterday (never owned a hybrid before or a vehicle with the auto start stop button). Just making sure I'm not missing something.

Full hybrids fundamentally are start/stop and there's little reason to disable it.
